Perhaps this is the best onsen hotel in Osaka. We took the shuttle bus offered by the hotel in jr station. The dinner is fully served which unlike those are semi buffet style. Such a vlassy dinner. Staff are so nice and the hotel offered a free electrical massage chair for use too

I booked Manpa Resort through their English website and stayed for 2 nights with my family. First, when I drove to the front door of the resort, I was disappointed that the hotel were still under renovation. It looked like a construction site. However, their website announced that it was completed the renovation in 2008. Second, their English website does... More

The prices were steep but this place was only about 40 min by bus (Kansai to Wakayama station) and 20 min by taxi (Wakayama station to Manpa), so travelling time was not too bad. Once you get here you can relax at the onsen which was quiet, clean and scenic. But be sure to order full board because the restaurants... More

We stayed at room 702, a tatami room with adjacent western bedroom. A very nice change after a week of tatami. We had 180 degree seaview and toilet in the room which is not that common in Japan. Onsen is exquisite. My husband who has problem with his skin finds the hot-spring water there soothing. We celebrated birthday there. Dinner... More

Good pick esp for family onsen trip. Good onsen facilities. The room is spacious, neat and tidy. The meal is great and the portion is just right. All rooms should have sea views so you can just grab a beer and relax in the room, then go enjoying the great comfort in onsen.

Stayed at this place for two wonderful nights. Service was excellent though the onsen could do with a bit more managing. There were no towels in the private Onsen. It cost us over ¥3000 to use it for 50 mins. but inside only toiletries were available. We had to use our towels from our room. Kind of odd cos we... More

We stayed one nite in late May 2013. Bedroom was a bit stuffy as weather was very warm and humid during that time. The breakfast and dinner were good and all receptionist and waitresses were very helpful. The outdoor bath was nice. We rented two sessions of private onsens each for an hour and they were very enjoyable too. The... More

Every room here has fantastic Seaview. My package included the signature dinner and breakfast. Food is ok, but most waitresses here cannot speak English. Once I need the translation from Conceirge Counter to communicate with the Japanese waitress during dinner. The room is tidy and neat , but a bit old which the room rate here is high. You can... I found this resort from tripadvisor, and were reluctant to try since most of the reviews are in Japanese. There are little review about this hotel. But finally, I've been there. The hotel is quite remote from the Wakayama city. I had to take about 40 minutes trip on a local bus. The hotel is just on the cliff over... More
