Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for 4 nights in late March, while attending a conference at the Fukuoka Institute of Technology. Although the single room was small, it had everything you need, including free internet, and breakfast is included. The breakfast selection is quite limited - however, there are 2 restaurants to choose from. Also, there are many cafes, and a large supermarket located right next to the hotel. However, it might not be too easy to find if you are arriving with the train. If you arrive at Wajiro station, you need to look out for a tall brown building with a rainbow colour (if you don't read Japanese). I had to ask someone on the street as there were no directions in English. Strangely, (and I think this applies to a lot of hotels in Japan), they are very strict about check-in times. Even if the room is available, they will only allow you to check in at 3pm (on the dot). I arrived at 1030am and had to roam around. When I was back at 2.30pm, they agreed to register me, gave me the room keys, but told me I could only go into the room at 3pm sharp - this is strange! I also found the bed to be a bit hard. Also, out of 10 floors, there are only 3 non-smoking floors. Overall, very good value for money, and a pleasant stay.

Great hotel in close proximity to the train(s) and restaurants. None of the staff spoke English so be prepared to either speak Japanese or use hand signals! There were 2 optiosn for breakfast providing a great variety.

I noticed these Kamenoi Hotels popping up around Fukuoka-ken recently. I stayed at the Wajiro location, and it was an adequate business hotel. The web site and many of the hotel signs are in English (as well as Korean and Chinese), and I was able to get one bilingual channel on the TV (NHK news). The "excellent" rating is for this class of hotel. Perfectly adequate and no problems. The single room was tiny, but no different than many other business-type hotels throughout Japan. The bed was firm and very comfortable for me. If you are tall (I am not) the length might pose a problem. Slippers are provided, but they are not the disposable type, so I did not use them. Neither did I use the (too small for me) bathrobe/yukata.. There was not much walking around space in the room anyway. There is a small refrigerator, a single bag of green tea (with hot water pot of course), toothbrush and razor. One large (relatively) towel and one long hand (washing) towel. Soap and shampoo are in dispensers on the wall; there was no "rinse"/conditioner. Breakfast is included: a choice of a buffet or Joyfull (restaurant). I chose the buffet- it is mostly Japanese style: miso soup, rice, salmon, dried seaweed, raw eggs, etc, some rolls, "wieners", coffee, tea and juices. Parking is also free. I am not sure if it is close to any public transportation. The rate was 4800 yen, and I was able to walk in without a reservation and get a room. If you reserve on the hotel's home page I believe it is cheaper.
