I choose to stay here because its says 0 mins to subway Gion station and it really is! Exit at number 6 which has elevator, very convenient if you have big luggage. From the hotel you can walk (around 7 mins) to Hakata Jr station which included major train station to travel to other cute cities in Kyushu and also... More

Toyoko has a unique room type called the "business twin" and is only available in a handful of its some 300 hotels countrywide. This hotel features the classic room type and I enjoyed the experience. The business twin room is basically two single rooms separated by a common toilet. Each occupant gets his or her own personal space, so there... More

This hotel is clean, tidy and well maintained. It's not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It's just a room, a bathroom and a desk in a clean and neat package. It's modern and has all the basic amenities that you'd expect from a business hotel. One thing to note is that while internet is available, it's... More

Toyoko inn never fails me. I stayed in a room which was fairly small though as compared to the other Toyoko inns. But I am used to small hotels and so this was just nice for me. Toyoko inn as usual is remarkable with their service, facilities and everything was working in tip top condition. This hotel was really near... More

Two of us booked a room here on April 28. I think we were in room 701, on a corner near the busy street. The bath was the older style unit bath, with poor ventilation, but the rest of the room was updated. Beds are rock-hard, but that's the norm for this chain. Good service, familiar setup like all Toyoko... More

I had a couple of days free before business and used Fukuoka for a base to do some exploring. I chose this hotel because I remembered that if you took the elevator out of the subway from the airport, you were at the entrance to the hotel (Exit 6). It's 3 stops from the airport or 1 stop from Hakata... More

Exactly the same as the other Toyoko Inns I stayed at in Japan. This one is a convenient few minutes walk from the main station. Small rooms, no cupboards ( luggage goes under the bed) , tiny bathrooms ( like a cabin in a small boat) but the hotel is clean and functional and perfectly adequate for a couple of... More

All the other Toyoko Inn in Hiroshima were fully booked unless I was prepared to accept a smoking room. So I had no choice but to book into the Gion Toyoko Inn. The last review on this hotel in Tripadvisor was on 18 Oct 2009 and I was getting nervous after booking this hotel as this will be my first... More
