The hotel is at convenient location. There is family mart, Uniqulo, book shop and supermarket nearby. It is walking distance to the lake side also. The hotel room and Onsen has Sakurajima view. It is a pity that it did not have outdoor Onsen.

Convenient location. Sun Royal Hotel is just diagonally opposite Uniglo & Daiso. Short walk to reach. Uniglo closed at 8pm. Daiso supermarket closed at 11pm. The room is small to squeeze in two single beds. Internet in room is unstable. Staff is helpful.

The hotel is old but under good maintenance. Breakfast was delicious and with great selections. Room has a good view of the city and the volcano. There is a souvenir shop within the hotel. But a mall is just across from the street which is a better option for shopping.

We have made a trip for the southern Kyushu this time. Flight arrived Fukuoka at around 16:30. Car rental has arranged, just over airport the other side of the airport. We started to drive down to kagoshima at around 17:30. It took about 3.5 hrs to reach the hotel. When we arrived Kagoshima, it's already 21:00. Restaurants on the Main...

The pictures we have seen must have been taken in the 90s, because this is quite an old and shabby hotel. Service is superb with concierges all over the place, but the rooms and hotel its self is way too worn down.. Rugs are awfully stained and smelly. Not worth the 126£ / 194$ per night!!! They also charged us...

Service is excellent with experts as staffs so there were no communication problem, all of them were so friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was grand and lots of choices. The View was the best part for staying here. The mall in front of the hotel got some nice outlets, supermarket and restaurants. However, compare to those new hip hotels we...

This is not a new hotel but it was really nice. They have a great view of Sakurajima. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner buffet was excellent with mix of foods. Also was very convenient to Daiso, supermarket and Uniqlo. Across the street also has a great tenpanyaki restaurant.

A nice hotel with views facing over Sakajima. Stayed for 2 nights, only downside is that you require the shuttle bus to reach the centre of the city if you want to go sightseeing or for dinner outside the hotel. Had the Viking Dinner both nights and selection was excellent. Hot bath on the top of the hotel also good...

The service at this hotel was really fabulous. Everyone was more than willing to help, and there were friendly 'hello's at every turn. The decor was a bit 90s, but everything was clean and in good condition. I loved the yukata in the room. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff were attentive and didn't mind us getting there a...
