It is not a big hotel but the location is perfect. Surrounding with a lot of restaurants and close to the ferry. Staff are friendly and helpful. Various choice in breakfast. They have drying machine for your wetsuit and scuba equipment. Also bicycle for guests.

We booked 3 rooms as we had family arriving from Tokyo before going to Johama island the next day. This is a small hotel, ideally situated next to the port and the bus station. Reception was fairly quick and easy. The rooms were compact but fine, with two single beds and LCD TV. Ishigaki is a quiet place so you...

After my two-day stay at the hotel, I'd say it's pretty amazing to be able to walk from the hotel to the pier (around 5 minutes). Why? Mainly because when you're in Ishigaki, you probably would look forward to several trips to the outlying islands (e.g. Iriomote Islands, Taketomi islands) and of course a few more water activities (snorkeling at...

This hotel is quite a little gem. It's clean, new, and the staff are courteous. It's centrally located downtown right next to restaurants, markets, and the ferries. The morning complementary breakfast was convenient and delicious. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights because of all the good online reviews that we came across. The building was old but the interior has been refurbished. We thought that the stay was quite comfortable except the extremely thin "onion skin"-like walls (We could hear almost everything from people's footsteps in the hallway or stairway...

Cucule is a standard hotel located right beside the bus station, and in the middle of the city. The staff is nice, rooms are pretty small but normal for a japanese hotel, and they provide free wifi. The highlight is the breakfast, with both japanese and western style, yogurt, fruits, cereals, bread, croissant, eggs, ham, and several local food. Should...

Good value, centrally located. The port is a couple minutes by foot. Breakfast is pretty good considering the size of the hotel and staff are very nice. bed is a real double and not a semi-double as is the case often in Japan. It's not fancy, but it is a comfortable clean base to explore ishigaki.

We were not impressed. Stuffy room, little personality and we had a Karaoke joint next to our window. Location is conveniently close to the port, but on a bigger, relatively busy street. Beautiful beaches are all relatively far away. The other islands offer a lot better places to stay.

When looking for places to stay in Ishigaki we wanted to be close to the port to enable easy exploration of other neighbouring islands. Other websites said this hotel was fully booked, but when we emailed them directly there was space. The rooms are clean and minimal, but with enough amenities to get by. The breakfast was great, lots of...

What a wonderful hotel! We stayed here as we spent a week exploring Ishigaki on our honeymoon. The rooms are comfortable, not fancy, but not basic. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of storage, and the bathrooms, while a bit small, were clean. You can tell the staff goes above and beyond here! The front desk helped us by...
