With high hopes, we booked the best suite (top floor) of the hotel for our 2nd and 3rd nights of our Shikoku trip. However, it's a bit disappointed from its outdated lobby. Even the so called newly renovated suite is only partly renovated with the old type of 'plastic bathroom' as if it's 20-30 years ago! It offers only standard...

This luxury hotel / Onsen has luxury and class. The view over the inland sea went on forever as this 8 storey hotel is perched high on a hill just south east of Takematsu city. Our lunch had 15 courses , kaiseiki style and delicious and the decor , modern Japanese on traditional themes was gorgeous. The staff went out...

Booked this hotel for one of our honeymoon celebrations. Services is all-rounded. A girl spoke Cantonese to help us at reception. The room is like a mini apartment with decent lightings. There's a private outdoor 'onsen' but it's actually a bathtub with onsen water. But we didn't use it much anyway, because they've a superb public onsen at the top...

We were looking forward to our last night on a long trip where we stayed exclusively in Japanese style ryokans. At well over $400 for the night and given rave reviews about both the rooms, the view, and the food, we expected Hanajukai to be special. Also the Japanican booking site indicated the hotel would have a shuttle service to...

We enjoyed our stay. Our "Japanese style room" was a suite, including its own onsen (hot spring bath), two large rooms, all with magnificent views of the inland sea. The staff were attentive, and the included meals were delicious.

I had been walking the 88 Temples of Shikoku Pilgrimage and my wife was joining me for the last 3 weeks. This hotel was chosen to give her the best possible start on her first visit to Japan. The hotel was perfect in every respect, a fantastic panoramic view from our room over the city, the Seto Inland Sea and...

It's like staying in a castle above this very pretty city, with sensational views and a marvelous sense of calm. The rooms are large for Japanese-style, with private bath (soaking tub, shower-prep area -- or you can cheat and just use the shower as a shower) well away from the toilet room. The food, dinner and breakfast, was excellent and...

This is a brilliant hotel. The staff service standards are superior - they couldn't do enough to help us. The rooms are huge by Japanese standards: separate toilet/ big separate shower and soaking bath. Panoramic views of the Seto Inland sea and the lights of the city at night. The food, served in room, was superb. Predominantly seafood oriented as...
