We attended the Presidential dinner held by the JSCA at this historic hotel. The 8 course was delicious. We had small simmered abalone, salted fish guts in yuzu citron (our first introduction), shrimp from the Shimanto river, sashimi including Noble scallop and pacific blue fin tuna. We also tasted Ise lobster with local sake. Must try.

I was astonished when I arrived there. The room was huge, the view was breathtaking, and there were baths both in my room along with a traditional, communal...
