Only used hotel to access boat trip on lake. When we first arrived we planned to eat there but no one offered any assistance and on balance we are glad we didn't. We had a coffee out of a packet that was very sweet, but at least it was hot. The boat trip was ok but there was nobody to...

My company booked a few of us here for a week while we did work in the area. The views were nice. The rest, not so much. The wifi didn't work and no one could say when it would work again. The one day it did actually work, no one told us. We found out by chance. Likewise, we were...

There is only one thing that is in favour of this hotel, and it is its location. Located on the edge of the lake, the views are pretty. We took two deluxe rooms at MYR 140/ room. The rooms smelled very musty and had a mattress leaning against the wall. On the floor in the rooms were some animal droppings...

This Raya holidays drove to Tasik Chini resort from JB>Muadzam> into Segamat-Kuantan highway> junction to Felda Chini road, 15mins drive then turned left at a signposted junction into a jungle road about 2-3km to resort. The resort surroundings were well kept, clean and felt 'new'. A few new chalets coming up in the vicinity. The parking lot public toilet is...

These were the first words uttered to me as I checked in. Unfortunately I was unable to get on line before I arrived. I stayed in the dormitory for 25rm including breakfast. I was the only person there over the weekend. Bathroom was clean but the bedroom walls were dirty. Clean sheets and pillows and one of the fans worked....

Please don't bother staying at this place. Stupidly I hadn't read the trip advisor reviews when I booked this place - next time I'll be more careful. We booked 2 waterfront "delux" chalets for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. They were disgustingly dirty, with lizard poo on the floor and old soap in the shower. When we...

Okay, so it wasn't good. We could have heeded the comments from other travellers, but we had that feeling that it couldn't be 'that' bad... It was. Just read all the other comments and believe them. The food was beyond..... we were lucky and had some instant noodles with us and when they ran out I would rather go hungry...

The standard room, at RM130, was basic, and is not the best value for money, but then, this is the most affordable room with water heater and air conditioning around here. This is not really the place to overnight, and a day trip to the lake is recommended. No more lotus bloom in the lake (only saw a dozen), and...

We had looked forward to visiting Lake Chini in the heart of Pahang Malaysia but, unfortunately, we chose the Lake Chini Resort. Some children showed us the rooms and gave us the impression that they didn’t like guests. When we checked in, which took about one hour, we saw the mess, which was our room. In the toilet there were...

We had planned for a few relaxing days by the Chini Lake. After the first night we left disappointed and appalled by the bad standard of the resort. This is a fairly big resort and we were the only guests! When we got there the staff were sitting in the restaurant area chatting and watching TV. They seemed surprised to...

“There is not a lot to do at Lake Chini except take a boat trip - I would recommend you stay elsewhere and make a daytrip to this lake. The town of Chini is a nice little place, so if you are staying at the lake I'd recommend going into town to eat.”

“If you really need to stay here, inspect the room first to ensure you are happy with it, before accepting it. And do bring enough cash, as the credit card machine did not work when I was there.”
