I made the mistake of booking ahead here and paying for two nights... I was placed in a room right above the bypass freeway. It is so loud, I haven't had a moments sleep due to the constant traffic noise. There is also a mosque blasting the call to prayer directly into the room 5 times a day (I can...

Very basic accommodation, worth the money. The room was quite small but they provide aircond and fans too. Also the tv reception was very bad. For the bathroom, it have hot and cold shower No elevator here, you need to take the stairs Locations was very near to city centre, crafts market and flea market. Need to walk around 10...

It was a disappointing overnight stay, first, it was not as advertised online, the quality of rooms and the quality of the hotel... so, given that we were shortchanged on the aspect... But what made things terrible during that "fateful" stay, was, there was a brown out, and there was no generator.. and worse, they did not even provide a...

The room is clean and safe yet the reception area is dusty. Wifi at the lobby is good, no wifi in the room but its okay since the price is cheap. And its near sedco square where the seafoods are flooding. And the best part, its near the bus station to Mt. Kinabalu...just few steps away. But when I visit...

Basic but clean rooms at a nice location in K.K., about 10 minutes walk to the night market. The big plus of this hotel is it's staff; very friendly and helpful. We stayed there twice and both occasions were very enjoyable. Very good (and free) Wifi.

This hostel is fairly priced, but you don't get too much of an experience out of it. It's shared area is spacious and includes a large table, tv, reception, slow computer and a view on the neighbourhood. The rooms are accesible by electronical keys (1 per room, not so convenient). At the time of booking, this hostel seemed to be...

The real adventure started once we reached Borneo Adventure Centre & Lodge in Kota Kinabalu! At the reception desk, we noticed, for 24hrs AC (which is a necessity given the intense humid and hot climate there), we would have to pay extra! They only provided AC for 12hrs from 6 in the evening till morning 6! When we told them,...

Brilliant hostel, very clean, spacious, good A/C and above all...the staff were very helpful and friendly. Central location by a night market. Although it's perfectly safe the neighbourhood is a bit rough.
