We spent 5 nights here in November 2012 and would highly recommend this hotel. We had a ground-floor room in the Tajung wing with a beautiful sea view - it also had a wonderful view of the sunsets. Both the room and the en-suite bathroom were large, modern and very clean; the bed was huge and very comfortable. The air...

We simply can't fault this hotel. We upgraded to a Club Seaview room- was it worth it? Well for us it was. The Club gives you a quieter breakfast , tea and coffee all day, and drinks and a limited buffet between 1700 - 1900. The rooms have a DVD and a great view. My advice is to consider how...

After a great stay at Shangrila's Golden Sands in Penang mid this year, we decided to stay at Shangrila's Tanjung Aru Resort. What a good decision it was. Hospitality, as expected, was superb. A big thank you to James (Concierge) who attended to all our needs including getting us a small rented car (not an easy feat considering it was...

We travelled with a 3 & 5 year old and booked an Executive Suite, but upgraded to a Deluxe Suite when we arrived and stayed for 10 days. There was nothing wrong with our original room, but the Deluxe suite could easily fit 4 children and parents (if the hotel would allow it) and the layout makes it easier to...

Pros: -The setting of the resort is quite pretty with a lovely view of the sea - Nice pool area though it can get so crowded that it is not relaxing at all, unless you go very early or later in the evening Cons: - Rooms are not very well-maintained, upon check-in the toilet had stains in it and I...

We nearly choose Sutera Harbour Resort over this Resort due to the price but luckily we got a good deal on one of the hotel booking website and the decision was a good one as we truly and definitely enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 very young children and...
