Perhaps unfairly I am judging this Shangri La resort against another 2 we stayed in, one for 3 days in Kl before we got to KK & the Rasa Ria just up the road, but given they are both truly 5 star then anything slightly less is no bad thing as the previous 2 would be the standard against which...

I stayed at this hotel on the second part of my travels in Malaysia. After a lovely stay at the Shangri La in Kuala Lumpar, we were expecting a really nice hotel, but were quite disappointed. On arrival the reception was busy as only one person was working on it and they seemed happy for anyone to jump the queue....

Overview; THIS hotel is AS GOOD AS it can get for the money you pay, and with young children, I have been to many hotels and resorts around the world, and will admit, we are NOT easy to be impressed. This was an impressive hotel from the friendly staff, service, the kid's club, the amount of variety of activities, the...

My husband and I have just paid our second visit to this wonderful resort and have promised ourselves to return. We stayed 12 nights and could have happily stayed a further week! We paid for a ocean view room which is well worth the extra cost and while the recently upgraded Tanjung wing is more expensive, we prefer a higher...

Yes, it's Shangri-la, that's why I expect a bit more from a normal 5 star. Everything still good, room is Spacious, breakfast buffet has lots of variety, pool is nice; but I just can't find that little spark. 1 towel in room had hairs for the first day, the special Chi spa setup I needed to remind 3 times, check-out...

Stayed here in Jun 2009 and had a great time so decided to revisit in Dec 2011. Stayed for 2 nights with kids. The rooms are clean, spacious and had a good view of the pools and the sea. Was wonderful just sitting on the balcony relaxing away with a book and cup of coffee. Kids club was great and...

The resort was top class. The staff were warm and genuine people, nothing was to much for them. We were thoroughly spoilt the whole time we were there. Jusinah and Zainal at Coco Joes must have special mention as they made us feel so welcome and were always ready to help. Thank you for an amazing holiday and we will...

We needed a break. This was perfect...great room with balcony, view, a bit secluded being the tanjung seaview wing. Great restaurants, breakfast buffet and spa. My wife had broken her shoulder 7 weeks before going away, so we had plenty of swims in the infinity pool (saw a lifeguard effect a brilliant rescue of a panicky child with a panicked...
