The hotel was opened in 1954 and still has that old world charm with some wonderful photos and memorabilia. We enjoyed our stay in the Jesselton. It could do some TLC and maintenance (the air con in room 104 was dripping and the surrounding paint was stained and peeling) but everything was clean and hotel staff are very friendly with...

Very good location, clean and good service. Our room was upgraded automatically. We got a huge room. The hotel is right in the middle of Gaya Street where the happenings are at. It's close to malls, coffee shops, restaurants, convenient shops and banks.

EVERYthing was satisfactory. if i left in the early morning hours (as early as 2am!) they offered and delivered a simple, take-away breakfast to pick up at the front desk. the wifi was good, the room was very clean and considering the price i went for all 5 stars. on sunday the gaya street market is RIGHT out front and...

One night stopover in KK on the way back from Danum Valley. Old historical hotel which seems to be well maintained. Big spacious room, with comfortable bed and free wifi. Good location and about 15 mins from the airport by taxi.

We recently stayed at the Jesselton Hotel with split dates . We initially stayed for a night when we arrived and checked out the next day for a trip to Mount Kinabalu and came back a few days later. Very comfortable boutique hotel, friendly staff. Hotel is convenient with the Sunday market in front and also eateries around the hotel....

This is an old hotel which has been renovated. It is centrally located close to banks, shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable but rather dim. Could do with a bit more light especially near the dressing table. The table lamp does not help much. Try to get a room on upper floors. On the first floor near...

Its one of the few remaining old (1954) hotels. So the decor is old style and cosy, more wood than steel. Breakfast is a la carte so thats a nice touch. The rooms are a little old but its comfortable Location is also good. Overall pleasant and I would stay there again.

Great location. Lovely staff but smells badly. Bathroom had cracks in floor, toilet seat and just overall very tired. As the oldest hotel in Sabah it really needs to be given some love to bring it back to its former glory. Breakfast has been outsourced and while lovely was very expensive hence I was usually the only customer.

Perfectly located and really friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and all of the facilities you'd expect. Everything you'd want from a reasonably priced hotel. Would happily recommend to anyone for a short stay in KK

Small hotel (35 rooms on three floors) with very well appointed/updated rooms and helpful staff. Well located for walking to tourist office, malls, ferries, Signal Hill, etc. Airport bus 6 min walk. Gaya St. is quieter (traffic-wise) than you might think. Our room (305) was large, with all conveniences. AC quiet. There is a restaurant on site but we preferred...
