Very dirty and disgusting rooms, with bugs (ants and other unknown small beasts). No internet in the room during our stay (and no compensation offered, the staff just said "internet is broken"), out of the city (bad location). Stinky corridors (old and dirty, unhygienic carpetry on the floors). Avoid !!!

Honestly, it is a very nice hotel. The breakfast buffet included in the price is delicious, and the staff are pretty friendly. The rooms are very nicely appointed, though the bathrooms are slightly less luxurious than you would expect given the price. Also, the location leaves it a bit of a walk away from the action of KK, which can...

I stayed 3 nights at the Sabah Oriental during a trip to Borneo to trek through the rainforest and climb Mount Kinabalu. Whilst the rooms are a bit dated it is a lovely hotel. It has a very pleasant dining room and the food on offer is exquisite, with many dishes available to be cooked to your own preference on...

Came back to this hotel after more than 12 years and was surprised that the hotel is in good condition. The beds, furniture, and overall room is clean. Priced lower than many surrounding hotels, you will get a larger room, good service, excellent breakfast, swimming pool, gym and spa facilities. Location is not too far from the center.

We went there in Aug recently. Staying there for one night. Big room with bathroom complete with 🛀. Value for the money. Unfortunately i left my things there and a week after that return back to get my things. Luckily i retrieved all my things back. Kudos to the honest and helpful staff.
