We had a very pleasant stay at Dreamtel, it was very well located, everything was in walking distance. The rooms were clean and adequate. We had 3 English foxtel stations and very good wifi, breakfast was included and there was a good selection. The staff were friendly and

Our room 807 is directly facing the field and Gaya Street entrance. Here's the best part - we went during Chinese New Year, and the town is celebrating CNY with Fireworks. So we got "VVIP" seat / room, directly looking at the fireworks from top, without all the smoke smells.

I was in KK for a weekend trip. The hotel is a mere 15 mins from the airport and walking distance from the waterfront. Price is very reasonable. The view of my room was of the main street so I couldn’t leave the curtains open. The breakfast buffet, while substantial, wasn’t

Good hotel with spacious room. Clean linen (only one towel each) and plenty of hot water. In room controllable air con. Higher rooms have a view over the town. Easy walking distance to local attractions. Good choice of breakfast.

I recently spent two nights at the Dreamtel. The hotel is starting to show it's age. The wifi is fine, the bathroom we had was tiny. They only give you one towel per person and if you request a second towel you either have to hand the first one in or pay extra. Buffet breakfast

Dear Sue A, Kopivosian from Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu! Thank you for sharing your honest appraisal and experience after your recent stay at Dreamtel. As the hotel is already 5 years old, a refurbishment project is certainly in the pipeline. We hope to complete the works by the end of the year. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the towels. We will speak to the team involved to make sure it does not happen again. I hope we can welcome you back in the not too distant future. Please do let me know when you plan a return visit and I would be delighted to look after your reservation personally. Warm regards, Annette Grace Bongkok Front Office Manager Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu

Thank you for your question. You can go to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park from the Jesselton Point which is 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Alternatively it is a short taxi ride away at the cost of RM15.00.

How far from airport? Any rental cars nearby?
Around 15mins car ride from airport. Rental cars can be hired at the airport but may be more expensive, hiring from the hotel front desk would be cheaper. To save money on the trip to the hotel, you can take the bus to Padang Merdeka costing only a few RM, the hotel is just beside Padang Merdeka.
