I have a problem rating this hotel. I have estremely mixed feelings. Let me start with the good things. The hotels operates in a building surrounded by a garden, which used to be a Chinese private school. The garden is beautiful and you can see that a lot of effort is being put into it. Thanks to being located in...

We first went to Basaga in August 2013, where my parents sent me off to UNIMAS to further my Degree. It was a pleasant stay and mum was extremely satisfied with her stay. Then 3 years later, we came back to the same Basaga for my graduation. It was a memorable one for me and my family actually. This time...

A real quaint oasis in the heart of the city. This is a charming small hotel with lovely staff that are helpful and do their best to make your stay a memorable one .We stayed on Regatta weekend so the hotel was full and so we were unable to book poolside or veranda rooms that are better situated and brighter than...

"Sarawak for Sarawakians", this bold statement can be read on the back of the hotelbus. Guests from abroad staying at BASAGA HOLIDAY RESIDENCES must not worry though, as these words merely emphasize a reality that all travellers to Kuching immediately experience: Sarawak is different! Sarawakians are more friendly to tourists, more relaxed about the muslim thing, more concerned about their...

I need a place for a night stay to transit in town before staying in another place nearby. I stayed in a twin bed room facing the poolside with some of my friends visiting for a quick swim and rest. The picturesque dining area is good for its ambiance and chill feel. Though the internet connection could get a bit...

Visited Basaga on the recommendation of friends and would pass that recommendation on to others. The staff are fantastic and friendly, food is great and the bar is cheap. The reception staff organised at the last minute for us to go to Semenggoh Nature Reserve with Brendan, a tour guide. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and really personable. Thank you so...

Nice and cosy hotel with good food and a nice bar. Eating outdoors between greeneries. Relaxing salt water pool. Guests are mostly adults and adventures types. The rooms on the first floor with pool view from the large and common balcony are the ones to go for!

We loved staying at Basaga so much we went back for a second stay. 7 nights in total! We had initially booked into a courtyard room but moved to a larger and brighter poolside room with indoor shower because the monsoon was starting. After a trip away we returned and took a huge room upstairs on the balcony overlooking the...
