Frankie the owner has opened this place not only for backpackers with such warm welcome and her knowledge about hidden places in Kuching just overwhelming. Staying here would make your Kuching exploration gone wild than just a usual city tour.

Frankie the owner goes out of her way to give you the best stay. Her knowledge and passion for Borneo and Kuching makes your stay extremely special. We tried to book a tour to see a longhouse and the Orangatans, and when there were no drivers available Frankie drove us herself. This made the experience extra special, as Frankie personally...

Best guesthouse breakfast I've ever had, literally had some home made apple pastry thing plus eggs, great. Location is great. Price is great. Only criticism is that it wasn't really a social place at all, but who knows could just be my luck.

Made lots of good lovely guests at the guesthouse, Frankie make dinner for everyone to get everyone together then everyone sitting on their own with their laptop or iphone. Good things first: -Common areas like kitchen and TV room are spacious and light, therefore really comfortable -Apart from the usual toast and jam for breakfast you get cereals, bread pudding, muffins, omelette, pancakes,... every day there is something new which is really amazing Now the not-so-good-things: -The rooms are small, dark and the walls do not close up with...

Why do you say sorry if you think you are right. Why do you extend the stay when you say you want to check out. If you are not satisfy, you can always leave, but instead of checking out, you extend, because you are greedy and inconsiderate towards others. When you lie, you put the blame to others. You were...

We stayed here for a few nights recently. Airport pick up was arranged via email to the owner, Frankie, which was handy having a driver wait for us and take us straight to the hostel for a reasonable price. When we checked in, we were told that the price on booking.com was incorrect and should have been higher, but we...

Someone would not dare to smile at you or talk to you when show an unfriendly look. If you have a happy heart, good feeling, friendly, the instinct will reflect. If you are unhappy, you see everyone unhappy.

staying in the Nook is the whole package. Roomy common areas, great kitchen (where people actually cook together) and quiet sleeping rooms. Franky (the host) is incredibly helpful and she often arranges tours or might even cook for you. In my experience it was the perfect place for an independent traveller.

We just had an awesome stay at the Nook with the crazy, goodhearted, excellent hostess Frankie. From the moment we got there she was very helpful, suggesting places to eat and visit. She even invited us along to a trek with a local trekking group which was great fun. Frankie took care of us for the whole week and we...
