Johns place serves great food. Is a meeting point for locals and travellers. Accommodation has airconditioning and own bathroom. Really clean room. Easily to reach as food situated in the middle of kuching!

This place is awesome! I came here to stay only 1 or 2 nights, but i couldn't leave.. The staff is so friendly and helpful From the first moment I arrived. They're personal and interested. I had diner and lunch at john's place a few times because the kitchen has a lot of diversity. They have an open kitchen so...

This is a clean, well run place. It can get pretty loud at night with the restaurant below and the rooftop bar behind. Good value and even some english cable channels. JOhn is friendly and always around if you need anything, he is happy to help. On the downside, the internet was sketchy the 5 days we were there.

A very clean and comfortable "private hotel" like experience at higher end of budget accommodation. Gracious hosts and staff and full restaurant facilities. We used John's Place as a base for six weeks on and off and were able to leave our bulk luggage in their safe keeping whilst we light backpacked on side trips (like Bako National Park -...

Came here to eat Fried Kway Teow which is popular with all the chilli. Ordered and it came in a timely manner. Always my place to spicy fried kway teow in Kuching. It is in the shoplot like any other coffeeshop. Do come and try the Fried Kway Teow, for those who loves spicy food one.

If you ever happened to be here, order their fish head soup separated from the lightly onion-fried bihun (rice vermicelli). You won't regret! It used to be around rm7.50 for the same portion, but the price has dramatically increased to rm15 in just over a period of less than a year, and its stays the same until today. No other...

Close to the esplanade and sights in Kuching. Cheap and perfect to the price, but out bathroom was broke. The bowel was exploding with water everywhere.. But to the price i was satisfied with getting a great nights sleep, which means tha AC worked great!
