We were on Maafushivaru the past 10 days and it was amazing! The staff was so friendly, the food was great (every day something new to discover), the reef was fantastic for snorkeling and/or diving. The island was very small but there was still a lot to discover! The gym was small but sufficient and clean! We had a beach...

Just back from a 10-night stay at Maafushivaru. The island is beautiful (as is the sister island Lonubo which we went to once). Lots of snorkeling at the island - the coral was quite bleached, but there were lots of fish plus we saw clams, starfish, a turtle and a ray. We also went on a manta ray excursion -...

Just 25min from velana international airport. Arrived at reception and only few minutes to complete registration. Breakfast was just great. Lots of various items. Good choices. Staff very nice. Nice beaches. Sand everywhere. You dont have to wear shoes. Also had a good experience on night fishing with some of the staff. Boat crew very helpful. Also before i finish...

The island is small and beautifully. So intimate you feel it is almost a private island. If you want a real private deserted island you have it, just a quick boat ride away. If you want a romantic dinner and to stay the night you can rent it. There are plenty of island trips, snorkelling with whale sharks, turtle and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Maafushivaru. We had overwater bungalow 222 which is the last one with sunrise and sunset views. We spent so much time on our balcony or snorkeling or swimming off our bungalow. The water clarity and colors were stunning. The snorkeling is incredible even with the bleaching of some of the reef last year. The...

One of the finest small Maldivian resorts we have visited. The staff were delightful and hard working, nothing was too much trouble. The food superb and even though it was a buffet, the selection varied every day, the food fresh with plenty of salads to choose from. Our beach villa was spacious and well appointed and the house reef fascinating.

I should have paid more attention to other reviewers mentioning that the food was bad. It really is. The quantity/variety is not the issue, but the quality is. It feels like a university/office cafeteria, not like a five star resort, and even though it shouldn't seem like a big deal, after a few days it gets annoying. Some sliced fruit,...

Thats how I felt throughout our stay. While the island was exactly as how you imagine the Maldives to be the hotel left me feeling like I should have gotten more for what we paid. The food is understandable that its difficult to offer a wide variety if the country doesn't produce it but there was no fish! A lot...

A really nice small island, good sized rooms with air conditioning and a nice touch to have an inside and outside shower, seating area outside of room is nice. The diving offered on this island is very good, the set up and staff are friendly and work well, the dive sites are top class and offer diving for all levels,...

Came back from Maafushivaru on Sunday 16th Oct after two weeks there, this is our fourth trip to the Maldives and we thought Maafushivaru was a very pretty little island, little is the word, very small!!! We were in Beach Villa 105, very quiet on this side of the island, my only criticism is it was very hot and there...
