Great escape from city life and great return to basic needs with non intrusive luxury. Great people, great nature. The tasty moroccan dished with very interesting twists I never had before. We will be coming again for sure.

We felt a bit exhausted after a few busy days in Marrakech and Essaouira, and stumbled upon Dar Danse as i looked for a more remote stay far from the craziness of the Medinas. I am so so happy that we were able to spend the end of our Moroccan trip at the bubble. We found our way down a sandy road, passing goats and sheep and a beautiful beach to our right. I was hoping that we would be greeted by Conrad, the resident camel, i had read about online - and there he was, waiting for us as we arrived. We were also greeted by Chappy, the sweetest dog, who was by our side our entire stay. He took us on beach walks, sat beside us at the pool and at dinner, and quietly napped in our room at times. We got to enjoy a lovely pool and empty beaches by ourselves, Abdoul and the sweet staff answered all of our questions, and treated us to delicious meals. We met the donkeys, and got to take two other rescue dogs for a beach walk. You can have a ride with Conrad, if you choose. It was exactly what we needed. Quiet coast, sweet animals, good food, lovely people. Highly recommended if you get the chance to visit.

We spent 3 nights and 4 days with our 5 and 9 year olds and a grandparent. We were debating whether to stay closer to town but eventually settled on Dar Danse because its beachfront location and amazing views. I’m so glad we did! It was the perfect relaxing getaway and a great place to unplug. It was nice to end our trip to Morroco here after a couple days in bustling Marrakech and long drives to and from the desert. The kids loved riding Conrad the Camel, walking the rescue dogs, playing on the beach and at the pool and having the freedom to roam the property. We loved the amazing food, chill atmosphere and waking up to amazing views of the Atlantic every morning. Abdou and the rest of the staff were warm, kind and accommodating. Our kids have lots of tricky food allergies and they went out of their way to work around them. We thought we might venture into town but ended up spending the entire time at the property. Essaouira is a great town - it was much more our speed compared to hectic Marrakech but we only spent an afternoon there on our way to the property and never left until it was time to catch our flight back home. This really is a special place and was exactly what we needed. We loved that the property was sustainably built and operated but this meant that WiFi was not superfast and showers weren’t always hot but we thought this was all part of unplugging and rolling with the experience. A fantastic experience, we were so sad to leave!

The Bubble on the Beach is the oasis of calm we all need in our busy lives. The location is just an hour from Essaouira but feels wonderfully isolated. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean this home from home could not be more beautiful . The staff and the Filpi family will make you feel so relaxed that by the end of day one, I felt like I'd been there a week! Stunning individual rooms, elegant dining, traditional bathrooms and the most inviting infinity pool. No tech needed on this holiday... just bring yourself and a good book for an escape in the sun. The staff provide delicious meals - we had full board with lovely tea and cake mid pm. The local rose wine was a particular hit but there is a good choice of drinks to choose from. I enjoyed a Hamman and camel ride during my stay whilst my husband enjoyed photographing the natural surroundings and idyllic sunsets. I cannot recommend the Bubble enough, whether you come for a dance retreat or just a chilled out break. Thank you xxxxx

Dar Danse is a stunning oasis overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Everywhere you look on the property there is something new and unique. But the people are what made this place really special. Liz and Antonio were a delight. What a vision they had to create such a masterpiece by the ocean. Rachid made our stay so much fun, from his cheerful greeting “Hello, America!” and efficient service of our delicious Moroccan meals, to his masterful playing of the gimbri. We stayed in the L’ Artiste suite and it was spacious, well appointed. The view of the ocean from the front veranda was gorgeous and it was so much fun to look at the back and see the rolling hills with grazing camels. The only down side was the bed was super hard, not just firm. We soon found this true of almost all of our beds in Moroccan Riads. However, Nagia saved the day! She had such a sweet spirit and was so kind. Very willing to help when I asked for more padding for the bed. So, don’t be afraid to ask! By beautiful design, this is an eco-retreat powered by the sun with well water. This is not the place to expect high speed internet all day. We did have coverage when needed. Just be aware that if a powerful, hot shower is what you expect, you may want to adjust those expectations! The bathroom was very clean and lovely otherwise. Dar Danse would be the perfect place to relax after a stay in Marrakech and/or a desert trip.
