Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here 2 nights. The location of the hotel is very nice, as most of the restaurants are within walking distance. They made our beds but didn't empty the two trash cans in the room. They left the toilet paper sitting on top of the roll. The room smelled musky. All the staff strangely leaves the hotel at 5pm and locks the doors! They have a security guard that sits outside in the cold all night instead of between the two doors. Breakfast juice was mixed with water. a/c works best in lobby, not in room. You have to constantly log into the wi-fi. Porter was very helpful with luggage since there's no elevator. Young blonde woman who worked the front desk was nice.

Hotel is not the fanciest. But the service is the best I have experienced ever in any of the hotels I have stayed. And I have travelled a lot. Special thanks to Tricia. You should be serving in Buckinham Palace! Also all other staff were just great!

WiFi was working very bad and only at the Rezeption. Parking Garage is too small for the big cars which are used for Safari Trips, Bar is closed at 18:00 every day and Rezeption as well. Room itself and bathroom were great.

Spent 2 nights at the Eberwein after trekking in the desert. It’s a wonderful oasis. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel’s location is great and (at most) minutes from anything in central Swakopmund. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful and really made for a perfect stay. The breakfast was delicious and hearty. Highly recommended!

We chose Hotel Eberwein because we like restored old hotels with an interesting history. Hotel Eberwein fits the bill perfectly. Apart from being tastefully furnished and beautifully clean, it dates back to the early days of Swapkop when it was designed and built by the architect owner. I could not recommend this Hotel highly enough you will definitely enjoy your stay.

We booked three rooms on the first floor and they were all very neat and impeccable. Wifi available. Location in the middle of the town with no spectacular views but for a stayover an excellent choice. For dinner, management booked a good restaurant at the harbour (The Tug) and after an excellent breakfast the next day we moved on to Twyfelfontein up north.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Swakopmund felt strange as if not in Africa, so western, so European. Also the Hotel was rather European but in a positive way. We felt very welcome and the breakfast was great.

Very neat and tidy, typically German/Namibia style. Stayed on second floor, very comfortable and large rooms to spread out, looked over the road but was still very quiet. Breakfast was a full spread and I tried to eat everything as it was great.
