We camped and found the facilities OK. It was very cheap and met a lot of other overlanders. The kitchen is small but cleaned often and there is a pool. The owner and his family were fine. Now if you have children I would avoid this place at all costs. There are two pitbull-like dogs who are really friendly in...

The garden is very nice. Unfortunately the rooms, especially beds and bathroom is old and filthy. In the so called neither the stove nor the toaster works properly. The handle of most pans is missing and you take risk to burn your fingers

We stayed here in Oct 2016 and while it was reasonably priced, the room had a bit of a strange smell and wasn't that clean. The location is good though and it had cooking facilities. Friendly owner but wouldn't stay there again.

We quite enjoyed our time at Topas. We camped in the garden for $10 a night which made it the cheapest place we stayed in Panama. The kitchen and fridge are pretty small but they do the job. Our friends room was pretty small but they thought it was ok for the price. There's a nice communal area to sit...

To begin with, traveling by myself I did stay in the cheapest room. Not quibbling about the cost but I have seen much better hostels at the same price. The room barely fit the double bed. When you stepped out the door and took ONE step to the right you were in the shared community kitchen. Again, that was so...

We stayed at Topas for two nights. The owner is from Germany and quite helpful if you want to plan your own tour around Boquete (plan some time as he's quite busy). The hostel is nice. Rooms are ok and functional. For the kitchen you wanna bring your own stuff. There are some plates, pots etc. but only very little....

The location and the accommodation are both good. The owners didn't really welcome us, they have some accommodations and camping spots. We didn't use the pool, but it looked good! The accommodation was cozy with a great balcony. I didn't liked the blankets very much (bit smudgy) and we didn't have warm water. Overall experience was good, maybe a bit...

Axel and staff were wonderful. Quiet clean rooms and good breakfast. Axel provided detailed maps on places to visit and places to see. Close walking distance to everything and prices were " very reasonable."

Stayed in Pansion Topas for four of our days in Boquete and it was one of my favorite experiences of the 2+ month Panama trip. Had already stayed in a hostel and arranged (just or a change) to try another hotel. Glad we did. Pension Topas is a delightful. A bit frayed, as are most hotels/hostel/pensions at this price point,...

Owner and family so friendly and interesting. The cabins are clean and comfy. The entire property is so interesting and fun to be in. Breakfast can be ordered the night before. Kitchen is clean and outdoors! Loved being here.
