This hotel presents well but is falling apart! Each time I wanted a shower I had to get the front desk to fix the water as it seemed to keep being turned off?! Our friends next door had to get reception to unlock their room each time as it would just get stuck! Poor standard!

This is good quality budget hotel in Central Puno, just 200 yards from the train station. I don't understand other reviewers who moan about the "no lift" situation - do your research first guys, rather than complain after the event. If you need a lift, and loads of "hotel" facilities, then book the Sonesta and pay four or five times...

When we checked into this hotel, it seemed typical for the region. We stayed here for one night - did an excursion to Lake Titicaca for a night away -- and then returned. The first night I tried to open a window to let some air in, but I decided against it because the window's were sketchy. They looked like...

Stayed in this hotel two nights for my Intrepid Sacred Land of the Incas tour, had a home stay in between so we're not together. Worst hotel throughout the tour. So many stairs and no elevator, didn't offer any assistance with luggage up the stairs. Stayed on the third floor so was a bit luckier than some in the group...

Stayed here as part of a tour. The hotel room was very dusty and the first night our bathroom and towels wreaked of fish. We were on the 5th floor which was over 60 steps to walk to the room (no elevator). The first morning they had run out of gas at 630am so they could not cook eggs for...

A good choice to stay overnight in Puno before continuing our travel across Lake Titicaca. It was a little cold overnight, requiring us to rug up as there wasn't any additional bedding or blankets in the room. Situated at the back of the hotel our room was only fitted with a small high set window offering a little natural light....

Budget hotel, good and rich breakfast, clean and confortable room, hot water, very well located (nearby Plaza des armas), gentle staff which support us in our trip at Titicaca lake with courtesy and professionality

We stayed at this hotel twice during our Intrepid Sacred Land of the Incas tour. Our guide was quick to provide us a map and show us the boundaries of where we should explore Puno after dark. The centre of town seemed safe enough but we warned not to venture much outside of that area after dark Camino Real is...

So, like one anterior review that was verry helpfull, I advise that you book your room at first level, maybe 2. I've had altitude sickness (headaches, nauseea) and is better to have your room at first floor. It was winter, minus 6 degrees and verry cold. We had heather in the room, a lot of blankets and was quite good....

We had booked into another hotel which was absolutely horrific and we had to move at 10pm at night so for a last minute deal, the Camino Real was perfect at the equivalent of €35 a night. The room was spacious, clean, with a nice shower and very comfortable for the price. We booked our floating islands tour through the...
