Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Eduardo and Gloria were the ultimate hosts. They were wonderful and always attentive to our needs and full of great suggestions and recommendations. The lodge is the perfect place for those looking to commune with the energy of Lake Titicaca. They served us great breakfast and kept out place neat and tidy, and warm in cooler evenings. I highly recommend Uros Walsiki Lodge and look forward to our return.

From the first moment Eduardo met us at the dock we were enchanted by the warm welcome, and by the time we left we felt like family. Gloria and Eduardo have created a wonderful experience on their island: our room was spotless and cozy with mountains of blankets and duvets, and private deck with swinging daybed overlooking the lake. Composting toilet - an essential feature of lake living - was pleasant to use and no big deal. Lovely hot shower. Intimate and homey with only two rooms. We spent three nights and were sad to leave. Another day would have been delightful. No wifi, but plenty of time to relax, read, play games and watch the light change. Breakfasts were ample and beautifully presented; lunches and dinners as well. Our family is traveling for a year on a tight budget and staying here was quite a “splash out” for us, but we felt it was a good value with all the “extras” offered by our wonderful hosts: handcrafting lessons on a rainy afternoon, a ride in the fanciful reed boat to see how the reeds are cut, kayaks on offer, photographs in traditional Uros garb and plenty of friendly conversation. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

The lake beautiful. The place magic. Lago Titicaca is a world wonder. We stayed a night a couple of weeks ago. It was cold, very cold and the heater didn’t work. We spent the night freezing at Eduardo’s & Gloria’s place. Just suggest to have extra gas for the heater or a pressure clock to know when the gas will be off. We couldn’t sleep because of the freezing weather and didn’t received apologies just a complain. The reception was awesome and they tried to do their best. Understand perfectly that we stayed in the middle of nowhere. But the experience was onces in a life time.

Amazing lodge! You basically pay for the view is stunning! The room was perfect, the bed was huge for only 2 people, the bathroom well equipped and the hammock outside of the bedroom was superb! The perfect place to relax, and admire the Titicaca lake

Eduardo & Gloria ( and Beisy 🐶) will make your time at the Uros (islands) amazing and unforgettable. Waliski means “well being” and they will look forward for yours at all times Their love for their home and community will be shared with you at all times, making you feel like a family member through their home made (and delicious) food. They will take you to the Aymara community throughout the Uros so you get a glimpse of their fascinating life style. This was the last spot of my trip throughout Peru, and I can say that it was by far the best example of the well know Peruvian hospitality. The views, the food, the people. Simply amazing!

I went with my wife and brothers. The food was delicious. The views were amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The personal care and attention from Eduardo and Gloria are unbeatable. They took care of everything, including picking us up in their boat and taking us to the different tours. Excellent place to stay!

An amazing 2 days with Edouardo and Gloria ! They welcomed us with such kindness and warmth that it became an unforgettable experience! The place is lovely and so peaceful on top we had the chance to get a lot of explanation about the culture and the way of living on the uros islands.

This floating island is simply paradise, we got picked up by Armando, who is such a fantastic person. He treated us like family from pick up until we left this beautiful place on earth. It is wonderful that this family is giving travelers the chance to experience a night or more at their handmade floating island. It is not too far off from the main floating islands, but it is situated in an area with a breathtaking landscape. The rooms cannot be described, they are out of this world. Everyone of the whole family treated us well and the meals, which were included in the price, could not have been better. We did a tour with Armando to the other floating islands and one tour with the reed boat, where Armando taught us how to create an island for ourselves. He was also telling us the history of the floating islands and its people and to be honest it was really touching. We simply loved everything there and it was hard to leave this very special and unique place on earth. Thank you so much for giving us the chance to experience this, hope we will have the chance to meet again some time on our own floating island in Austria (as I got explained how to do it). ;-) Best wishes, Sylvana and Michael

Off the beaten path, so you won’t be surrounded by annoying daytripping tourists. Eduardo and Gloria, the owners, are as sweet and helpful as could be. And the rooms are beautiful and quiet, with plenty of space to relax. And how many people get to say they stayed on a floating island? Such a peaceful, unique place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Eduardo and his family were welcoming and helpful. Despite our late arrival, they arranged to pick us up and bring us to their island. They were incredibly attentive and the small touches such as hot water bottles at night made our stay all the more enjoyable. They also arranged for us to visit Taquille, the cost of which was very reasonable. We were dropped off and picked up from the ferry. For anyone who wishes to escape the buzz of the city, we would thoroughly recommend staying with Eduardo and his family. P.s. the juvenile egret that lives on the island was quite cute.
