Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were in Puno for the day only, our bus arrived at 5 am and we had to leave at 10pm, we asked the taxi driver and he took us there, they let us stay for the whole day until we left for the other bus for 100 Soles, we got a decent room with three beds, cable tv and what we needed the most, a shower, especially with kids. It was located jus 2 blocks from the plaza de armas and lots of restaurants and shops in the area. There was a heater in the room but looked burned so I didn’t use it, blankets took a while to warm us up but they did the job. Nice staff at the front desk.

Stayed here with two kids and husband. We got two rooms; kids and hubby stayed in a 3-bed room, well appointed, nice bathroom. I stayed in a matrimonial room. It was a bit dated, just ok but all I care is hot water and WiFi and I got both. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Plentiful!

We were supposed to stay there for 3 nights but moved out after the first night. Our room and the hotel in general was freezing cold at night and they had no heaters to give us. I slept with all my clothes on and was still freezing. We were able to find a place very easily not only warmer but also cheaper. The breakfast was very good I must say.

This place was remarkably pleasant. Had a nice big room on the third floor. Very clean, well appointed, warm enough, good hot water. The staff did not seem quite ready for prime time--a bit absent minded ."oh you wanted a receipt?" but very polite and helpful after a nudge. The breakfast is not great but the rolls were fresh and just up the street is the excellent Tunki Coffee. I'd go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and value.

The room was spacious & clean, although sheets were torn & slightly stained. The overall hotel is shabby & in need of TLC. I've stayed in cheaper & far better places during my stay. Look around, you will get better value for money. Staff weren't that engaging, but will call you at 7am & push every tour at you!

I visited this hotel as a part of my Peru trip. The personal was always ready to help and answer any question (we've used Google Translator to overcome the language barrier). The room was clean, the Internet was blazing-fast, the heater worked as supposed. The staff was pleasingly assistive and responsive across every single issue. The breakfast was a buffet as opposed to kinda traditional bread-butter-tea triplet. At the entrance they have a warm tea for every guest :) Obviously, I've liked this place.

Having stayed at terra viva in cusco we were pleased to the quality and cleanliness the same. Well situated for exploring Puno. quiet rooms in a good location. The desk staff were helpful as we're those in the kitchen.free wi Fi in our room worked ok and computers available with no charge in reception.cash point directly opposite the hotel was useful. Good breakfast and obliging staff.

We stayed at Puno Terra for 2 nights as it was included in our tour. We were charged 60 USD per night, but found out that you could find the same room on booking.com for 35 USD. So if we were charged the correct price we'd might have been a bit more positive. Pros: - Close to the main square and street - Reasonably fast wi-fi Cons: - Really rundown and would need a total makeover - The room was really cold when we came (about 12 degrees). The room doesn't have any heating, so we were offered a small, noisy heater that got the room quite warm but produced horrible air. - The shower didn't have hot water, only medium. You really need a hot shower after being out in the cold in Puno - The staff hardly knows a word english - The interior of the room is really, really basic So if we'd got the room for 30 USD I'd given a 3 star, but considering the price we paid it was a total scam. So we'd never return.
