Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an amazing location for solo travelers. Amazing view and amazing staff from the front desk to the restaurant. I definitely enjoyed my stay here! If you can't speak Spanish, it's not a problem, the staff can speak English very well!!!

Great service. The bartender Jesus was great. Good cocktails and very friendly. Since I don't speak Spanish, there were some language barriets but it made our conversations that much more interesting. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

This hotel is not in the centre of Puno but that is not a draw back. The road to the hotel does not give a good impression. The hotel bar and restaurant were lively. Recommend taking advantage of the happy hour. Breakfast options were satisfactory.

Good hotel by Peru standards nice location over looking the lake although you'd really need to get a taxi in to town but not a problem for us as we were only there for 2 nights and the on site resturant is ok. Breakfast buffet has good choice.

This hotel looks out over a railway line & grassland to Lake Titicaca. But (other than a friendly bartender) there's not a lot more to be said in its favour. Essentially, it's a tired old hotel that doesn't meet modern standards. Poor heating. Patched carpets. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Insufficient supplies of tea & coffee with awful milk powder. Poor soundproofing & so-so breakfast catering (though the Yoghurt drinks are lovely). Disappointing.

We had 2 nights here being in Puno specifically to see and experience Lake Titicaca and Uros Islands. For the lake the hotel was excellently situated having its own jetty down to the water. We thought about a walk into town - we had been recommended to take an inexpensive taxi - but decided against walking after a short distance outside. Nothing specific but maybe a bit overcautious. Our room was as booked and a lovely view from the balcony to the water and Puno in the distance. Breakfast was good. The restaurant being accessed from an outside sitting area. Reception and Bar service was also very good. We chose to eat in the bar and weren't disappointed. Would we stay here again? Yes! We could still feel the effects of the altitude despite having being in Peru - Cusco, 4 Day Machu Picchu Trek etc - for more than a week. So, if you have altitude concerns maybe check out somewhere closer to home to see if you can cope. PS - That is why my wife didn't accompany me to Peru as she has suffered badly previously.

Everything was great at this hotel. The staff was very helpful. I was very sick because of the altitude and the staff was very understanding in providing me with the food I needed at different times of the day.
