Rooms are overpriced. Weak water supply. Doesn't offer room clean-up. Cramped space, you won't have space for your stuff. Not recommended for more than 2 nights stay. Beachfront is far from where the events are happening.

There aren't many hotels or lodges in Mati..even less when you're looking for a place to stay near the beach. And because of this, "hotels" near Dahican are quite expensive despite having poor room conditions and Botona Dahican Beach Resort is no exception. Their rooms have AC though and has a beach front. But then again, you go to Mati...

Unless you prefer pitching for a tent, better book ahead at Botona. It does not have the glitz of a pricey hotel but I believe it is the only decent accommodation in Dahican with AC, comfy beds, free potable water, and clean toilet at the same time, for a reasonable rate. Their rooms are good for 4. A bit heavy...

Before going to this resort, I was looking forward to a really nice accommodation similar to what I saw in their website photos. Unfortunately, nothing lived up to my expectations. The rates are very expensive considering how old and dismal the room was. Customer service was poor too. The paint on the walls was peeling. The tiles in the bathroom...

I know that it's not really a high end resort, however having the BASIC FACILITIES of A BEACH RESORT would help. Dahican beach is FREE and the only reason we went in a resort is because we wanted to have a decent CR. Well, we were very disappointed. CR, WASHING ROOM is definitely a TOP PRIORITY in a resort and...

The road to the resort is gravel and very bumpy. The pool was so dirty that one could not see the bottom. Was greeted by a woman so sullen and not even a friendly hello. We were rethinking staying here and asked her for a coke and a beer. She then requested 50 pesos a piece before she would get...

Botona is a beach resort that has an awesome location with an amazing white sand beach under coconut trees. The facilities, amenities and maintenance at the resort however leave much to be desired. For example. Our toilet did not have a seat and the staff did not even know what a seat for a toilet was. The shower had a...

Dahican beach in Mati is a 165km trip or less than a 3 hr drive from Davao Airport by private vehicle. The road to the resort is scenic as you will travel along a winding coastal road. On the way, don’t miss to stop over and gaze at the sleeping dinosaur island. If you plan to arrive by lunchtime and...
