Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Okay please dont make expectation so high… the hotel was basic. Good for a night stay. It was just funny they do get a guard and front desk in one.. but descent enough to stay. I was patient enough because it was still after pandemic… the toilet is clean, hot water not working though.

I stayed overnight for an event. Our group booked different rooms. Generally the hotel is clean and the rooms are well maintained for an average hotel. The small restaurant however, does not offer much choices and I noticed they were understaffed. Only one person was taking the orders and serving the food and collecting the payments..the plus factor was that the staff were nice.

We stayed in this hotel for a few days during a business trip. The hotel is located in the city center, near a lot of attractions. It is close to pharmacies, restaurants and convenience stores. Public transportation is always available. The room is big. The AC is too small for the room. I had to ask for an additional electric fan. The breakfast buffet was boring. If you are on a budget and staying for just a few nights, this place is for you.

I used to be a guest at the Well Hotel years ago and at that time it was okay for the price of PHP 1400 a night. But now ... Dirty rooms, including sheets. 2 thin cheap pillows. (For additional pillows must be paid). The old air conditioning is noisy, a sign of lack of maintenance. TV with poor picture quality. No in room safe The elevator makes creaking noises in the winches, - scary. Friendly, but incompetent, inflexible reception, without any decision-making power. Today, the same room costs PHP 2100 and it's not even worth 1000. The Well Hotel is a prime example of a run-down hotel in Cebu.

Nice looking building with clean friendly efficient front desk. Quick check in, efficient lift, clean and tidy common areas on floors with bedrooms, fair size room in well maintained condition. Clean comfy bed, large tv with lots of channels uncomplicated to use. efficient A/C. However there was an unfamiliar electric water heater under the washbasin and, try as I did thoroughly, I couldn’t get any hot water in either sink or shower- brrrrrr! When I came back late on second day the room hadn’t been serviced - I should have read the comprehensive and long list of rules which indicated that “rooms will only be cleared on request” I spend over 150 nights a year in hotels and this is so unusual that it should have been pointed out on registration. On this basis I do not recommend this hotel as I was left with no bottled water and toilet paper.

The room is not soundproofed. I have experienced three consecutive sleepless nights because of the unacceptable noise from the outside. The front desk lacked the capacity to act on the situation immediately

We arrived here quite late, but we didn't notice any attractions in this area. Two bellboys helped us to our room. The room was quite small but clean and finishes appeared new. We tried the hotel restaurant D'Cafe and the dinner foods were quite good, but not memorable. The breakfast opened at 6:30 and was very basic, no fiber. No other guests were seen during this stay. Front desk is not able to exchange money, you would have to wait until the nearest mall opens to exchange money.

Affordable, clean hotel. I would book again in this hotel because location is perfect. I stayed here for 1 night, price was 1,650 pesos. Room and toilet were clean. The sheets and towel were clean, no stains. I hope they maintain the cleanliness. I also like the curtain drape coz it was thick, sunlight cannot penetrate and you could sleep well in the morning. However, free breakfast was not that good. The pork tocino was too dry and they did not salt the scrambled eggs.

dismayed. I will never go to this hotel again more so recommended this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was disaster for two morning. During the first morning. We though we were late for breakfast thus we do not complain and asked the staff instead if they could replenish the trays. They said yes. To mu much dismay they only refilled the rice. The second morning. My husband hurriedly took a bath and told me he'll have coffee. He was already hungry. I took a bath and right after I applied conditioner on my hair. Water pressure became low to no water. That was the time that my husband went back and said that things were the same as what we had experienced the past day. I horribly told him with wet body hair soaked with conditioner and body jittering because I was all wet went out to aircondioned room when i needed to get the bottled water we have to wash my face to be able to see and open the door. To complain about the no water. Christmas Tree was Horrible. Couches in the Lobby though new covers were installed still of bad condition. I am a 90 kilo woman and imagine how i tumbled backwards.when upon seating at the couch realized that its cushions were already hallow and worn out. 1 hour later I had skin asthma. My skin on both arms look swollen and had blisters. Same thing with my legs. Until now i still got marks. I could not add more to this horrendous experience. To think for us to be able to check in earlier. We needed to pay extra 400 pesos charges. Rooms have moaquitoes too. Most of their workers are trainees. No good points. Except that their staff as well as security guards were polite. If nit imagine the complaints during our last day of stay when there were no water. At least 3 guests were mad at complaining to the reception but the woman in the front desk kept cool. First time that i did not bother taking pictures of the hotel. Nothing is worthy of picture taking here. Except this one to prove my point of how was the buffet breakfast looked like left overs. And picture of my markings. Not too clear in this picture though. Mosquitoe bites and blisters.

Room is all right. Great location within easy reach of Mango Park and Fuente Osmeña Circle. Food is all right. Good customer service. Best value for money. All is good except for the elevator (under maintenance).
