WHY YOUR NEXT VACATION SHOULD BE WITH US. A vacation in Plantation Bay will be more prudent than in most resorts for the following reasons: A. Plantation Bay is a complete destination resort, where they can spend their entire holiday without ever going outside where they might be exposed at random to the virus. B. Plantation Bay is very spread out, and almost all its facilities are open-air. As now scientifically proven, most Covid-19 transmission occurs in close-contact indoor situations in which people stay close together for long periods. By its unique open-air design, Plantation Bay is inherently unconducive to catching Covid-19. There are no enclosed corridors and elevators where the virus may linger in the air up to 4 hours after someone coughed in that space, and we have vast lagoons and pools where people will not be tightly-packed. There are a lot of activities that guests can do inside the resort, so guests will not be tempted to go out where they might catch the virus in public markets or lower-end restaurants.

The ambiance was good. The food were also good and tasty. The supervisor Plisken always made sure that we were doing good. The staff Lovely and Eman were accomodating and made us comfortable. The band sang beautifully. We had a good time. It was a dinner well spent.

this is my 2nd time visiting after long years and the place remain impressive with its lagoons and excellent service..due to the holiday season guests are treated to christmas serenade at their restaurants on evenings..most of the facilities are adequate to make their guests remain active throughout their stays, plus they offer a range of outdoor activity packages foods are tasty but except that their serving sizes are SMALL i.e kare-kare which was stated to be for sharing but ended up just enough amount for 1, liliput burger, half cup of rice etc but overall staffs offer professional service standard which make our overall stay enjoyable & a memorable one

I don’t know where to start. Plantation Bay has been the best holiday resort we have had the pleasure of visiting. Its commitment to excellence and outstanding service, exemplifies the essence of wonderful Filipino hospitality. We went for Christmas on their home away from home package for 10 days with 15 family members. We had four rooms and stayed over both the Christmas and New Years periods. It is without a doubt the best Christmas and NYE we have ever experienced. From the start we were whisked straight to our rooms via private transfer from the airport where staff were waiting with shell necklaces for us all and lovely Alexa went through all the things included with our package including all breakfasts, a themed dinner, room cleaning, and laundry service as well as all the fabulous things on at the resort which were too many to mention. There were so many things to do we booked the Champagne brunch Christmas Day. It was like a tasting menu at a Michelin stared restaurant. The food was exquisite. We went to the NYE party where the entertainment and dancing and food and drink not to mention amazing fireworks made the whole night magical. We also had a driver for a few days and visited churches, a local orphanage, a guitar factory famous for top quality well made guitars, did a day trip to Bohol and the coral reef tour which was such an amazing day out. When you are with the people at Plantation Bay you truly feel like royalty. They take you to the best places, wait for you, make sure you have everything you need to make it the best experience possible all without any tips. It was the best service I have ever experienced and no one would take a tip which made it all so genuine and lovely in every way. The staff are just amazing. Too many to mention as everyone was so nice and couldn’t do enough for you. From Alexa at check in and check out, Kathy in the Palermo Restaurant, Paulo at the front desk, Cristina the nurse, Ralph at the booking desk, Freddie our driver and Alvin who kindly took our bags to meet us at the airport after we had short trip to Palawan before we flew home. Everyone went above and beyond to truly make it the best holiday of our lives. Moreover the staff’s unparalleled honesty always had us in awe. We left our credit card in a pocket when we had our laundry done and had a call straight away from the laundry and someone ran down to return it. We had a day in Bohol and forgot to lock our safe and everything including diamond and gold jewelrey and cash in both US and Filipino pesos were all still there untouched. We felt so safe and cared for at the resort. Anything we wanted they tried to provide for us and all without tips just from the kindness of their hearts. It is truly a magical place to visit and there no where else like it. We will dream about the day we can come back as I think everywhere else will fall short of this beautiful place. I feel very lucky we were able to experience it. Thank you to all the wonderful people responsible for Plantation Bay it is hospitality at its best.

We would not go anywhere else for a relaxing time. The Mogambo Springs spa is a class all its own. It's my happy place. The resort staff is very accommodating, friendly and always willing to assist. Despite its size and the number of guests, it did not feel cramped, hectic or crowded. The room was spotless - not a strand of hair in the tub or shower area. My husband and I availed of their long term rate which came with a VIP package that included a private transportation straight to our room - no lobby check-in or out. It was a very nice experience all around.

I will start with the staff were polite and kind most of the time. The booking: we booked for a deal and when they found out my daoughternwas also coming they cancelled and charged us full price she’s 8. They made it seem like the room had one bed but it had two double beds enough for 4. Breakfasts totally chaotic and food not great. Then Palermo served us over salted food one time but the next was really good. No consistency. The Fiji was not bad but don’t order Indian it isn’t. The pools were good but I can’t stand the dip and rise smashed my toes a couple times. The lagoon slimy floor so wear water shoes. They charged for EVERYTHING from room service to slippers it was ridiculous. The cost was astronomical and definitely not worth the cost we paid for. For over £3000 for 11 days you expect a lot more. So disappointing. Will be er ever go back and would not recommend it to anyone. Also horrible breakdown in communication. The bars all serve different drinks so you can’t get the same drink the theme nights were ok but I was so so disappointed.

I would usually wait till the end to review a hotel but this hotel is so amazing. We have been blown away with the fabulous service and need to share our experience of the whale shark tour with a final review of the hotel to follow. We arrived as a family of 15 from Australia and London and plantation bay has been pure luxury from the moment we stepped off the plane. It is easily one of the best hotels and experiences of top quality service of our lives. The Whale Shark tour is a once in a lifetime bucket list experience where you will have the VIP service from beginning to end. Our driver Geoff was very skilled and fast and could go places I would never go without scratching the car and our tour guide Aliana was so thoughtful and amazing she kept going above and beyond, she made the experience very special. I highly recommend it. You leave at 4am to travel the 3-4 hours to Oslob at the bottom of Cebu island. They get you there in the morning not long after it opens but the bedlam and queue at the sharks is crazy, like nothing I’ve experienced. People are queuing down the road for miles including obvious instagrammers from all countries and nationalities and this is around 7am. But if you are on the Plantation Bay tour you never queue. You are driven to a separate VIP area in the shade by the beach with a private table and chairs and given fruit and drinks as our beautiful tour guide Aliana sorted out our place in the queue. To get an idea of how busy it was we arrived around 7am and our queue number was about 350. After our place and time for the sharks was established and we were briefed on the whale shark experience (ie don’t wear sunscreen, keep a fair distance between yourself and the shark). We were driven to a drop off point for Tumalog Falls where motorcycles zip you to the base of the falls. This was so exciting for my children. We were each given a different person and wizzed down to the most majestic falls and lagoon where you can swim up to waterfall and take a picture. The water is so cold and we wished we had brought water shoes as it was quite stoney, but such an amazing experience. The water is mineralized from the rock and you can tell it is really good for your skin. We then sat in a rock pool where tiny fish can nibble on your toes like a fish spa in nature. We were then returned to our lovely spot on the beach and served a Filipino BBQ lunch of delicious BBQ pork skewers, BBQ prawns and fish and beers and soft drinks. We felt like royalty. Aliana really gave us the five star treatment we did not wait at all just rested and enjoyed the scenery. At around 2pm it was our turn and we were taken to a place to have our life vest assigned and Aliana magically produced snorkels for us all. We were put in a traditional Filipino boat and taken to the whale sharks. There were also sea turtles swimming around. You are then told to get in the water and hold onto the boat as a man feeds the sharks to lead them past you. We saw many whale sharks up close. It’s a definite once in a lifetime experience. I know it’s controversial as some people believe this is bad for the sharks but I only saw happy sharks getting fed and a community earning much needed money. Once the whale shark experience was over Aliana met us on the beach and took us back to our private area where towels, soap, body wash, and lotions were laid out and we were given a place to shower with changing rooms. We were then taken back to our car to sleep nearly all the way home. We had a quick stop at a shop where we could buy chicheron, a pork crackling originating from Cebu. A perfect day. I wanted to tip both Aliana and Geoff as their service was the most wonderful I have ever experienced. I continually tried in many ways but Aliana constantly refused and stated again and again about the no tipping policy of the hotel. It was so incredibly kind of them to provide such amazing service with no expectation of a tip which made it all so much more special. Plantation Bay is a beautiful place to stay but I would stay also just to be able to do this amazing tour. It is one of my best experiences to date.

Six years ago, my family and I had a delightful experience at Plantation Bay in Mactan, Cebu. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and there was an abundance of mostly free activities. However, our recent visit was marred by a drastic decline in service quality and overall experience. The most striking issue was the staff's attitude. They were consistently surly, often appearing irritated, and even engaged in arguments and shouting at guests for using mobile phones. While I understand the intent behind restricting mobile use, the execution was poorly handled and overly aggressive. For instance, while using a workout app in the gym, I was rudely interrupted by staff, despite the gym's TV loudly playing CNN. This contrasts sharply with the serene environment we once enjoyed. The decline extended to dining experiences as well. Despite the high cost of staying at Plantation Bay, breakfast was a chaotic scene. Guests had to endure long waits, only to find scarce food options once inside. This was particularly disappointing considering the resort's multiple idle kitchens during breakfast hours. Furthermore, amenities that were free during our last visit, like kayaks and paddle boards, now came with a hefty fee. The once enjoyable water slides were closed, with no explanation given, suggesting long-term neglect. Even simple tasks like hailing a taxi were problematic. We were misled by staff about additional taxi charges, a claim easily disproved by our own experience. Our experience at the resort's Spanish Tapas/Italian restaurant, Palermo, was equally frustrating. The dishes were excessively sweet, and when we sent them back, they were returned with unconvincing explanations about alterations made to the recipes. Overall, Plantation Bay has undergone a disappointing transformation. The once welcoming and vibrant resort now feels aloof and poorly managed. Every aspect of our stay was overshadowed by issues in customer care and guest experience, marking a significant and unfortunate departure from the quality we remembered.

Let me get to the point. The facilities are great. The Jacuzzi experience in Mogambo spring was refreshing and the staff was accommodating & attentive. Food in Fiji restaurant is terrible. Their 4pcs tempura was priced at P1480 was overcooked, too salty and too messy to eat— its tempura bits were everywhere each time you take a bite. It was even served with a food flag captioned as “Worlds Best Tempura”, oh well. When you dine in Fiji, you’d be so confuse. Their logo is in safari theme, some of their staff wears safari uniform, the restaurant interior is like a log cabin, but the food they serve is in japanese and some random food cuisine that tastes I dont know. The chicken in the carenderia tastes way better than their P680 chicken. Hehe And the worst part of our main stay was that the ac works like fan. Now i get it why they never bother to upgrade their sheets to comforter for an 11k per night room, because they know how warm their old ac’s are actually working. I thought i’d be more happy & satisfied to sleep in my own room at home. Trust me. And yes, they don't have bidets. You can hear the walking of the guests in the 2nd floor even at 2am. That means, no sound proofing was even installed in the first place. Goodbye 11k per night I just paid for a complete stay of inconvenience. By the way, your every move inside the hotel is being watched like a hawk and every move is with a corresponding additional payment. They don't have complimentary room slippers. What they have are beach/toilet slippers that they sell inside the room for an additional P100, room service is additional P300. Now I understand why this place survived through the years.

Very rude staff at Kilimanjaro Restaurant. Worst experience ever. I would never come back here. Strongly not recommended. I feel so humiliated with what the staff did. I was lying in the lounger under the shade to relax and this waitress told me to transfer to the side. There was enough space on the side to walk on.
