The welcome was fulsome and in fluent English - always a help - and the reception were all delightful. The hotel is in a courtyard style, round the swimming pool, which we found very cosy, and the pool is an ample size for all. The rooms are simple, well designed and decorated, comfortable and the cooking facilities were quite adequate. The duplex arrangement with the children and grandchildren upstairs worked very well. The hotel is very convenient for the beach, about 200 yards away, and for shops - Hermitage 10 minutes and St Gilles 15 minutes (on foot). If you Google you'll see the main road not far away - didn't hear a thing! Having checked out the other hotels in the area, this is in a class of its own.

PS It would be nice to have a plumber on hand on Sundays, and to have accurate instructions on how to use the safe (but that really is nitpicking)

Given that you can't swim on the beach, either because the lagoon is too shallow, or the beaches are closed for fear of sharks, you can save on the beachfront premium. This place is half the price of some others, yet has comparatively large rooms, if a little lacking in furniture; no sofa and only one (outside) desk chair. Our room, 84, had the advantage of good evening light. Avoid the dark rooms in units 1-4. It was a big room with a reasonably comfortable queen size bed. Great bathroom with almost separate toilet, and good shower. Small kitchenette with no space for food preparation and doesn't really enable cooking, but fine for breakfast (includes coffee plunger) and supper. The "Score" supermarket is a short drive or ten minute walk away, and has everything. There is also an excellent pizza kiosk opposite Score.
No dinner available at the hotel. It is available at a rather bare looking hotel immediately opposite and there are plenty of casual eateries along the beach. Clean pool, acceptable for service. Having looked at other hotels, you can spend a heap more at Lux, which seemed very comfortable, and over serviced, but expensive. Or even more at Boucan Canot, which is a good location for eateries, but when we were there, no swimming.

The location, quality of the rooms and pool and the courtesy of the staff are fantastic. Everything was neat and clean. My only regret is that the buffet breakfast is not worth the 11€, after the first one we took care of our own breakfast. Otherwise a wonderful stay that I highly recommend.

Hotel Les Creoles was our last night's stay on a wonderful trip to Reunion. In some ways it was a bit of a let-down. The room was comfortable and we slept well, but it had that 'ho-hum' feel of just another hotel/motel room that can be found in many parts of the world. It has a small out-door, covered restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. The hotel has arrangements with nearby restaurants for dinner; a courtesy bus is available to get there and back. After several nights of restaurant food, we chose instead to buy some things from a supermarket that's an easy walk from Les Creoles and make use of the room's kitchenette. The hotel is close to both a small shopping center and the beach. I found it okay for one night, but I would not want an extended stay at Les Creoles. The WiFi is free, but awkward to connect. The staff were very good.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my husband and daughter. Initially we had only booked the room for my husband and myself however my daughter who is studying at university nearby was able to get some extra time off. The hotel were very accommodating and were more than willing to make up an extra bed so she could join us. The hotel is quite small and has a lovely tranquil ambience to it. The staff work very hard and keep the hotel very clean and tidy and the gardens and walkways are all immaculately maintained . The pool area was also a lovely quiet area to relax and towels were also provided . Our room was cleaned daily and the lovely orchids placed in the room was a welcome feature. The buffet breakfast was very plentiful with plenty of choice for all.
The location of the hotel is ideal and the beach was really close. The local shops are a short stroll away. The main coast road was very accessible.
All in all this hotel was a great start to our holiday.

I am very happy I found this place when looking to stay in the Saint Gilles area. The rooms were standard, which is what we expected based on the price. The swimming pool is a good size and very refreshing. It is located a couple of minutes away from the main area of Saint Gilles, but we had a rental car, so it was no big deal at all. Above all the staff were exceptional. When we ran into some issues with our helicopter tour, they were very helpful in getting it sorted out and we were very grateful that they were there.

If we are ever lucky to visit Reunion again, we would definitely not hesitate to stay here.

I visited Réunion when travelling alone and did not know much about the place or speak any french.
However I found the staff here; particularly Yann, extremely helpful and kind and could not help enough.
The hotel is beautiful with a good bar,  lovely pool area and I slept like a log in the homely apartment style room.
There is always someone on hand at reception to offer any information or arrange excursions. I did the helicopter tour of the island which is a must! And Yann showed me a great hikking trail to an amazing waterfall which I would not have known about if I went about my own devices.
They were good enough to arrange a taxi to the airport for €65 as opposed to the €145 I was charged when I got a cab from the airport; so I definately say stay clear of the airport taxis.
I am very glad I came and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Excellent service.

"Blocks 4, 5 and 6 are West facing, so you have a shady breakfast and lunch, but sun full on for the afternoon, and a good sunset. The others are more shaded all day - take your pick. We were in Building 4 which was excellent, but was dependent on our own sunshade for the mid afternoon period."
