We recently stayed in the Izmailovo Beta Hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet and reasonably comfortable. I feel the hotel was good value compared with other Moscow hotels. The food and drinks were expensive, but there were bars and a restaurant right outside which were cheaper. The staff were fine to us and did their best to help. We did feel that they could have done more in terms of providing multi-lingual menus etc.
The hotel is not far from the metro station which is only 5 stops from Red Square and reasonably easy to negotiate.
We were very happy with the hotel overall

The hotel complex is really good. As mentioned before, the metro is very close and 5 stops from Red Square.

I have stayed at the Izmailovo complex (not just Beta) and have never found a single problem with check in, (no matter how late) or finding anything to eat as the restuarants in the complex run 24 hours, and because of the sheer numbers of people who use the Izmailovo complex, are really quite good and reasonably priced.

I was surprised at our room. We booked a studio room and it was very well furnished, and a little bigger than the other rooms we have stayed in at Izmailovo. There were bath gowns, toiletries and free water. It was also very clean.

The security is good, and there was an irritation, but nothing more than that. On my first night in Russia I am usually mentally on UK time, which means that 02:00 is actually 22:00 to me, so I usually go for a walk and possibly a cognac in the bar until I settle. Its not unusual for prostitutes to work in the lobby area. Some of them are clearly Stalinist era! Normally I dont find it a problem as just to say that you aren't interested is enough. However, one prostitute was annoyingly persistent and despite me stating very clearly that I was not interested she persisted, at one point, grabbing my arm. I used some words to her that I do not normally use, and she left me alone. Security should have ensured that there was a more discreet way of doing business.

This hotel is not in the city centre, but metro station is 2 minutes walking from the entrance and there is a direct line to the Red Square and all major attractions. Hotel is huge, it is clean. We used comfort economy room, it was totally satisfying. Breakfast is more than expected. Very very big choice of food! Would recommend to everyone who would like to save money in Moscow. Wi fi available only on the first floor

The hotel staff asked me for "registration" document which, not one of 3 hotels I have stayed at during my 3 weeks travelling in Russia has ever asked me for. Even Alpha from the very same brand did not ask for it two weeks ago. So the receptionist kindly asked me to go back to st petersburg to my previous hotel and obtain registration and they left me with a cancelled booking at 22 pm in Moscow :) To summerize, horrible, unprofessional and stupid staff as well as the worst hotel ever possible.

Prostitutes everywhere in the lobby. Receptionists are extremely unsociable and unwelcoming. They never smile, are intimidating and give you the impression you should not be talking to them. Cheap food in restaurant. Not enough choice. Overcooked and re-cooked several times. Room was ok.

You cant imagine how teribble otel it is. Room: Old old old, malodorous.. I couldnt touch somewhere at the room. Just cleaning lady very kind to me. But people at the reseption are very rude and when we arrived to hotel we waited almost 2 hours. They didnt want to help us (even I paid all money for room by credit card). They havent internet connection at room ( may be normal such a terrible hotel). There is a place in front of the reception for wifi connection but this place also for smoking cigarettes, and also after 24:00 you dont have safety at this place. Such a bad condition as you imagine. Moreover you must show your hotel card every time whan you go to hotel at the enterence of elevator.

I reserved Beta Hotel Izmailovo in Moscow for January 2nd.-5th. By recommendation of TripAdvisor as people rated good by Booking.com!
But the room was low quality room that in the 2nd. night I found an insect in the bathroom tub as I attached it's photos!
As I showed photos to front office, clerk gave another room card that was occupied by somebody! So again they exchanged the hotel room with old one with less facilities than the first one also beds changed from two twin rooms to one double king size bed, that this one is okay because we are a couple.
We got uncomfortable with new room and about an hour it would take to change at 2:00 and we loose
I didn't get that hotel manager would want to compensate for this catastrophic problem or not!

Advantages: (a) Very good location near Metro with 2 minutes walking.(b) Hotel located area liked a small city with supermarket, restaurants, huge park, shopping centers. (c) Room is big enough with all facilities & Wi-Fi.(d) Security was very good on control.
Disadvantages: (1) No Air-conditioner, Hong Kong people like me was a little bad feeling.(2) Storage of Luggages needed to charge a fixed rate around 4.5 EUR. (3) Wi-Fi signal was weak(recommended used internet closed room door).

The main advantage of the hotel is its location and price.
Izmailovo Park and nearby.
Metro station 2 minutes walk.
By metro to Red Square, 15 minutes.
The hotel is modern enough, the rooms good repair.
The upper floors offer excellent views of Moscow.
Near the metro a lot of places where you can eat.

Disadvantages of the hotel:
- Our room had no air conditioning. In summer it is very necessary
- Not Free Internet
