Me and my travel mate (both foreigner and non-Russian speakers) stayed for two nights in January in an en-suite twin room. All was clean and well prepared. The breakfast was good (porridge, bred, fresh fruits and veggies and cereals) and the staff was very helpful, some of them had spoken really good English.

I stayed here for 2 nights during the World Cup. The hotel is brand new and as such had a few teething problems. The elevator didn't work, lots of constrction still going on.
The hotel is very hard to find, but it is in the train station. If you go down the street on the left hand side of the station about 200 metres there is a door leading to another station entrance the hotel is in this section of the station.
The best part of staying here is the location being in the station and next door to the Metro Station. Unfortiunatly the rooms whilst brand new are not up to international standard, no air cond, no fridge, no glass for water, no shower screen so everything in the bathroom gets wet when showering, not enough shampoo or soap to last your stay.
I would only recommend a short stay here, especially if you are travelling via this train station.

The hotel is located on the train station from where you get the sapsan train. Decently appointed rooms with all the basic facilities and very neat and clean. Nice place to spend the night before catching the train from Moscow to Saint Petersburg. The eating options are nice but do not eat at Pizza Hut inside the station.

I chose this hotel because of the price and it being fairly modern and right by the Metro given that staying near the Red Square was more than double and would still require a decent amount of walking to get to it. So if you don't mind taking the Metro every day (or your itinerary requires it anyway), then you may as well pay less and stay near a Metro station albeit not right in the center near the Red Square. In this case, walk from hotel to Komsomol'skaya Metro was a couple min (note that there is a shortcut through the KFC right beside the hotel entrance), and Metro Line 1 from there to Okhotnyy ryad by the Red Square is 6min, so overall less than 10min away from the city center, well worth it imo.

When I was there, there was construction going on near one side of the hotel, however I asked (I believe it was the hotel manager) to move to the other side with no fuss and all was quiet after. It is probably worth mentioning the concrete construction of the hotel, which means much less/no footstep sounds leaking all over the place. Note that other than the hotel manager, no one else spoke English, or spoke very little (couple words). This did make things difficult in certain cases, and even Google Translate couldn't help much when trying to interact with one particular person who didn't even seem to understand the translated text.

The included breakfast is decent as well, and includes among other things various Russain-style crepes either standalone and/or wrapping beef, ham, or cheese.

Overall very good value as long as you don't need to interact much if at all with the staff.

We used this hotel as an afternoon base while waiting for the overnight train from Moscow to St.Petersburg.
Being located within the Leningradsky railway station, it was perfect for our needs.
Plenty of food and drink options in and around the station, so you won't go hungry.
Even though we left at 11:15pm to catch the overnight train, we were still given takeaway breakfast boxes which we thought a nice touch.
If we needed to, we would stay again.

One thing to take note of though, is access. It may be worth mentioning to potential customers that you should enter the railway station via the side entrance to avoid having to go through the metal detectors each time.

Only ten minutes from the center, I had a very pleasant stay at this brand new hotel. Close to the Moscow’s public transport facilites, its location is a real asset in a city like Moscow.

I definitely would come back.

Thanks a lot.

I had a layover in Moscow, stayed there for one night. The place is brand new, I liked the design, hallways and rooms looks modern and are decorated with good taste. Also, had a very comfortable chair in the room! (Which is almost never the case for some reason) The room was clean, with lots of light, spacious bathroom.
Very comfortable place, especially considering that it’s located right at the train station. And actually not noisy either. Nice breakfast. No buffet, but very convenient if you don’t want to wander around the area with 3 railway stations looking for a cafe.
Keeping this place in mind for future, would stay there again.

I stayed in this hotel with my son towards the end of July 2018. We had a very pleasant stay there, but it is a difficult place to review... it deserves a very good rating and a very bad rating all at the same time. Please, read further.
It's a brand new hotel inside the old Leningradsky railway station, built right this summer as one of many new lodgings in Moscow for the multitudes of football tourists coming for the recent World Cup. Rooms, beds, bathrooms, carpets, walls, appliances, everything is brand new, so that's very good. It's actually an excellent find - a brand new place at almost hostel prices! I will continue with positive things, but I must first include an important caveat: ... not the fact that it's a bit hard to find, that the entrance and the reception is not much to write home about, and that the staff don't really speak English, nor the fact that the breakfast room was not finished yet when we were there and the elevator was there but not working, no, those are all things that will change/improve with time, I have no doubt about it... But what will not change (or at least not without a serious investment) is the fact that rooms of this brand new hotel are for some reason entirely built without air conditioning, hence my sincere advice to book only rooms facing the street, not the platforms, because in those rooms (facing platforms) the windows do not open (noise? pollution? who knows…) and since there is no air condition, there is no air at all. If all the rooms were like that, I would give this hotel zero points. Fortunately, half of the rooms face the street, and they have normal windows. We didn't notice any particular noise, which one might fear considering it's so close to the station, and we had a very good sleep in our very good beds. So this hotel is both, to be recommended and to be avoided, depending solely on which side of the corridor room you get.
On the positive side, once you get the room facing the street like us, and especially once they finish the breakfast room, I can only list further advantages of this hotel for travelers who need good and functional accommodation, not luxuries, and for a good price; whose aim is to have a good night’s rest in a quality room and then head to the city to explore it, and not lounge around their multi-stars’ hotel facilities. The hotel is right inside the railway station building: walk through the hall of the railway station all the way through and you'll find the hotel entrance on your right, right before the platforms begin. That was very useful for catching our early Sapsan train at 5.45 am. The whole operation of transporting ourselves and our luggage took 5 minutes – which was priceless at that early hour (or any time of the day, for that matter). This convenient position was in fact the main reason why I chose this hotel, and I was so right: we arrived here directly from the airport, and departed for St. Petersburg four days later as described, losing no time/efforts on commuting, what so ever. The double-metro station Komsomolskaya (one of the lines going directly to the Red Square, and the other circular, with all the most beautiful metro stations on it) is right in front of the railway station building, and all the little shops (grocery, sim-card...) in the hall, as well as fast food restaurants around it work all through the night, which is really handy. There is a TV and free Wi-Fi in the room, both functioning very well. All in all, we had a very good experience of Moscow from our brand new Leningradsky railway station Gorod Hotel, and I would recommend it for not-luxury-seeking-but-also-not-compromising-on-their-comfort European tourists, provided you get a street facing room.

Cozy hotel, convenient location. I was pleased with the large selection of pillows, because I can’t sleep on regular ones. The staff is friendly and helped with all questions! On the 1st floor there is a cool corner where you can borrow a book to read. You can also drink wonderfully brewed coffee at the bar.
