If you were ever curious how soviet people used to live - here is your chance. First of all it is located in a typical 80s nine stories building, recently renovated but still feels so soviet! Its old name was Electron and this sign has not been changed yet, prominently displayed upfront. The receptionist are perfectly welcoming and polite but if you happen to talk to the hotel manager, you can perfectly imagine interrogated by a KGB officer: she has a smiless face and strict rules about everything.
The rooms are of various sizes: the single person room can accommodate just one person: a twin size bed, and all necessary furniture takes half of space. Two people who will make this room crowded. At the same time the room has all necessities that you might need: dishes, utensils, cups for one person, a small but well functioning refrigerator, a TV set ( This TV set probably dates back to 1980s but works well).
On the positive side this hotel is located in a quiet courtyard within three minutes walk to the subway station and a supermarket.
Overall it is a great value and I will certainly use it for my future travels.

The hotel is now called Electron. We stay there often. Once again we appreciated its convenient location in relation to the metro, buses, post office and store. The price has increased slightly over the years. The hotel is clean, there is a cafe. The downside this time is poor sound insulation from the neighboring room. You can hear the TV and become a witness to other people's conversations. We didn’t encounter this on other visits. The room was booked one day more than we needed because we arrived at the hotel at 7 am. They warned us in advance that we would arrive not at noon, but early the next morning and called back to remind us. There were 5 hours left until the end of the first day of our stay, but we were charged in full. We asked about the discount. We were refused due to pre-booking. Now, if we had just arrived at 7 am, then in fact they would have charged us less. We stayed at the hotel twice in May and left twice early in the morning, also paying for a full day. Some wrong rules. But we are not offended. Business is business. Thanks to the staff. All requests were responded to, we are happy with everything.
