I spent 3 nights at the Weekend Inn and the attention to cleanliness is outstanding. The entire place is spotless, even the shared bathrooms. The good: Rooms are big, bright and airy. Location is unbeatable - 2 minutes walk to the nearest metro station and 10 minutes walk to the red square. Shared bathroom and kitchen are kept very clean....

Our first impression of this place was that it was a bit sketchy due to its entrance and tiny lift. But DO NOT let that put you off! This place is amazing. The main property is on the 5th floor. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted in and showed to our room. Our room was way bigger than anticipated and...

Trying to find a hotel in Moscow that ticked all the boxes was difficult, these boxes being 1) cheap 2) central location 3) clean 4) good reviews. Everything I looked at had one but not the other, but this hotel seemed to tick them all. Firstly the location - it was very difficult to find because it is not signposted,...

We stayed here a year ago and it was a obvious choice to stay again on this trip .It's spotlessly clean ,dead handy for St Basil's and Red Square . All the amenities and restaurants you could want are nearby. So a brief review but a highly recommended place to stay . i look forward to going again .

This is an excellent hotel in a good location. 15 minutes walk from Red Square, easy access to the metro and with a supermarket, bars and restaurants round the corner. It was spotlessly clean, the receptionist was helpful, and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

I stayed here last summer for 5 nights and I highly recommend it. My two friends and I stayed in a triple room, which suited us nicely -there was plenty of room for us and all our stuff. The room and the shared were spotless. The air condition was excellent, the view was nice and location perfect. The girls at...

My wife and I stayed twice at the Weekend Inn during our recent trip to Russia. The first room (shared bathroom - very nice, modern and clean) was small but bright. We stayed for 2 days before going up to St. Petersburg. On our return trip to Moscow we stayed in another apartment managed by the Weekend Inn that was...

The location couldn't be more perfect, the owners are considerate and accommodating, the rooms large, comfortable, attractive and immaculate. Our room was an en-suite with a truly spectacular view and comfortable bed. Metro 5 minutes away, huge variety of great food available 24 hours within the same block, 5 minutes walk from Tretykov gallery, 10 walk to St. Basil. The...

Staying in Zamoskvorechye

Neighbourhood Profile
Zamoskvorechye
It wouldn’t be a mistake to call Pyatnitskaya street the main axis of this neighborhood – turn one direction and you’ll find the Tretyakov Gallery in Lavrushinsky Lane, turn another – a hip Scandinavian restaurant. Old churches now embrace contemporary life with style and grace. Going to Zamoskvorechye is like visiting during the times when it was a medieval Russian quarter, but with a modern twist of 20th century buildings pushing themselves into the 21st century with new businesses opening weekly. Stroll down Pyatnitskaya to taste dozens of global cuisines – from Ukrainian and Georgian to Thai and American.
