We went to Moscow for an overnight stay from St Petersburg on the Sapsan fast train which took 3hrs 55 minutes and just need a hotel which was pretty central to most things as we would only be there for 24 hours. This hotel was great value at £73 for the night and a few minutes walk from Red Square. It is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. Took us a few minutes to find it as then entrance is tucked away in a gated courtyard. We were welcomed by a young girl who spoke good English, checked in and she took us up to our room. The room was on the 4th floor and there is no lift! It was a nice large room in an attic space with a large skylight and no other windows, which was fine as we were only there one night. Great bathroom with a huge shower and the water pressure was good.  There was also tea and coffee facilities which was nice too as we didn’t have these in the other hotel. Outside the room was a lounge area which was lovely with sofas and lots of plants. Great area for sitting and chilling in. Hot and cold water was available in this space. Great location for the hotel, surrounded by bars, restaurants, supermarket, etc and only a 5 minute walk from Red Square. Would definitely stay again.

Small boutique hotel with excellent location and staff. Pros: 1. Excellent location - we were there for New Year celebration and Red Square is only 10 mins walk away 2. Staff is commendable, they help you with luggage, speaks good English and tried their best to assist. We ordered health supplements to be delivered to our hotel prior to our arrival and they helped all the way. 3. Water dispensers available for both hot and cold water. 4. Some rooms has bath and we loved it. Cons: Only one. It will be an great improvement if they have an elevator.

Cute and cozy boutique hotel close to Moscow's bustling city center. It is a short walk to Red Square, Gum department store, the Kremlin and a great live music club/bar named Kozlov (great food and drinks). My room was very clean and warm, and reminiscent of a ski lodge. Though my toiletries were few, I didn't miss them--I often travel with my own. The front desk & housekeeping staff were lovely. It is very close to the Metro train, and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. My only critique is that there is no elevator to aide with heavy bags, but the staff is more than willing to deliver them to your room for you. I would definitely recommend, and look forward to staying here again!

Wow, where do I start..we booked an other hotel months before our flight, but in the last moment I found this one instead and changed our reservation. One of my best life choice so far. We arrived by taxi(which was about 1400Roubles with yandex taxi), then went in the little gateway to find the enrance to the hotel. The staff was friendly, showed us to our room, which was really comfy. We had a LARGE french bed and the really tidy bathroom. Everything felt really clean and spacious. The smell in the common rooms is like sitting in a sauna, very calming. Our room was looking at the Marosyenka street, which was reasonably quiet at night. The metro station was right beneath us(and couldn’t hear a sound) so getting anywhere by public transport was childs play. The red square is literally within 15 minutes walking distance in a calm pace. There’s also a шоколадница right in front of the main gate, but if you fancy some drinks in a bar no problem, because there’re so many within 50 meters. There are some cons of course, like the soundproofing between the bedroom and the bathroom(which has the toilet in it if you know what I mean), the minibar which is a bit noisy at night and the fact that there’s no elevator. But I’m telling you, these are reasonable prices to pay for such a wonderful(and surprisingly cheap) stay near the heart of Moscow. We’ll certainly visit again next year. P.s.: The hotel even provided us with champagne for my girlfriends birthday. Lovely staff, hands down.

This is a great spot to stay in Moscow. It is next door to the Kitay Gorod metro (exit 6) and surrounded by plenty of eating and drinking options. Our room was spacious but a little basic. For some reason they were a bit mean with toiletries in housekeeping but would always provide them if asked at reception. The location is what gets the four stars and this was a perfectly pleasant base for our stay and very close to the main sights.

Clean hotel with no elevators (spread over 4 floors) in a very strategic location being 10 minutes walk from the red square and other main sites. Finding it is straight forward, take exit 6 from kitay gorod metro station and turn right, its next door basically Endless dining options within 1-2 minutes walking radius plus mc donalds and a mini market close by Like others said, if something breaks, you have to live with it... I stayed 6 nights there and I had no light in the bathroom mirror since the beginning...reported it to various staff members multiple times .. action was assured every time but it never happened...... However i must personally thank Daria, a receptionist - she was so kind and helpful with me in booking a night taxi as I wanted. Would stay here again for sure next time!

I wish this could be 5 stars, but, as ever, it's only when things go wrong that you know how good a hotel is. For us, location was perfect, our room (408) the largest in the hotel (it's in the rotunda at the top of the building!) and the staff very friendly and helpful. However, on our 3rd day, the air conditioner (which acted also as a heater) stopped working: given that night-time temperatures were around 1 degree c, that was a serious issue. They gave us a convection heater which just about took the chill off the air - but it was seriously chilly when getting out of the shower - or out of bed! One of their staff told us that the 'city had not switched on the heat' - I'm not sure if he thought he was being funny - especially as the rest of the hotel was as warm as toast. And that was it - they did nothing else: they didn't ask us if it had started working, they didn't tell us when it would be fixed. Nothing. And that's how it continued for the rest of our stay. And no apology when we checked out - in fact it wasn't mentioned. Poor customer service, I'm afraid. Do stay there - just pray that nothing goes wrong because you'll be on your own.

I recently stayed in this hotel on a 2 day city break in Moscow. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially when it came to booking taxis or tours. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable large double bed. The place was spotless and there was a large comfortable lounge area on each floor. Just be aware that there is no dining room so no breakfast. However, there is a small bakery just up the street for breakfast as well as a food hall only a few doors away where we had lovely blinis for breakfast one morning and thai food with a nice glass of wine one evening. One other thing is that being an old building, there is no lift but you can leave your luggage downstairs and the reception staff will bring it to your room so no real problem as long as you don't mind walking up and down stairs. The hotel is well located with the historic part of Moscow within a 15-20 minute walk or easily accessible by Metro with the nearest Metro station about 5 minutes walk.

Fantastic location, just 10 minutes walk from the Bolshoi, Kremlin and Red Square. The reception staff were very friendly and spoke english without difficulty. I would like to thank Artum particularly for his assistance in booking restaurant and ordering taxi. The hotel is safe, comfortable and clean. There is no dining room in the hotel but there is a lovely food court just a few doors away where you will find everything from breakfast pancakes to Thai kitchen to trendy wine bar. Excellent quality and not expensive. The hotel might benefit from the addition of a lift, but Artum carried our bags, so this was not an issue for us. I would recommend the Hotel Maroseyka for a very pleasant few days in Moscow.

I knew the Hotel Maroseyka 2/15 was in a great location (10 mins or so walk to Red Square) and good value but it is also very comfortable with large and stylish rooms. Yet it's greatest asset is probably its reception staff. On the evening we arrived, the blond-haired man (I failed to get his name) at reception was exceptionally helpful in getting us a taxi, even went so far as came onto the street to ensure we had the right car. The hotel has no kitchen/breakfast but there's plenty of good options within a short walk. The only downside is that there is no lift but even then the staff will offer to carry your luggage to your room. Yes, two thumbs up for the Hotel Maroseyka 2/15 and their staff!
