Veliky Novgorod is located roughly 200km south-east of St. Petersburg and can be easily reached in 3-3.5 hours drive. For those who would like to stay not always in city hotels, this could be a real alternative. Situated 5km outside of Novgorod, surrounded by pure nature, opposite Vitoslavlitsy, the unique wooden architecture museum and 10 minutes walk to St. George... More

Very nice hotel ,very large log cabin hotel.rooms way above standard.Visited on a a tour so maybe she got us good rooms.food is very good and bar prices seem reasonable.only stayed for 1 night on way through so could not comment on extended stay, but as nothing close you are locked into whatever the hotel provides but as most guests were... The whole experience of the hotel was bitter because of the room I got to stay for the 2nights of 23rd and 24th of May 2016. Please check with the hotel before you arrive, ask for a room in the main building of the hotel and not in the annex. Our room was the only one in the hotel without... More

We had lunch here before going to the open air museum across the street. Great opportunity to have a typical Russian meal with folk singing. My people are picky eaters and they loved the many dishes. Appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef in dill cream, pork tenderloin, out of this world borscht, stuffed cabbage and dessert. Excellent food, nice setting, helpful... More

The place had a great look to it - an old hunting lodge. The surrounding area is superbly looking natural combination of lakes, forest, meadows & old monastery.Interesting interior. Good breakfasts. Free parking.Especially useful if you are traveling by car.The hotel is very cozy. Very small rooms and uncomfortable beds in double rooms. For those who like to sleep in the... More

We stayed in the only separate cabin in the hotel complex and it was excellent. Definitely worth taking if you want to be separate from the crowd. Breakfast is basic but good but dinner is very good. It is about 15 minutes by bus or taxi from the city. The traditional Russian Banya was excellent.

I can honestly say I've never stayed in a hotel with a stuffed bear in the lobby before this! A great place with heaps of atmosphere and gorgeous rooms. Our bathroom was a little musty, but it wasn't overpowering and the room itself was really cute and the bed very comfortable. I chose a sleep-in over breakfast, but my husband... More

We were on route from St. Petersburg thru to Moscow, with ON THE GO TOURS and we stopped over for the night at the hotel, absolutely loved it ! The staff were friendly, however like lots of other Russian hotels, not many spoke English, but that didn't matter cos we were given our room keys and not much else was... More

We stayed here with a small group on a tour & it was charming & oozed atmosphere! There was almost no English spoken, but we were lucky to have a Russian speaking guide. The hotel looked like a wooden hunting lodge & was set in very pretty grounds out in the countryside near Novgorod. The lounge area sported an enormous... More

We stayed here only one night as part of a tour, our room was ok, very basic, except there was no window, only a roof window which is as much use as a ashtray on a motorbike, and it leaked in the rain as well. Tried to get some extra towels to clean up the mess, but no one spoke... More
