I was living in Location Hostel for 6 weeks. Great atmosphere and people. But rooms are too crowded, it was 6 of us in one room of 8 m2 and the bathrooms were very dirty and out of order at that time. Anyway, it was a great experience, I met people from all over the world. Big adventure!

I have selected this hostel after i read lonely planet review. Location is everything, the hostel is at the heart of everything, as well as subway. Staying in an old russian apartment was fascinating particularly regarding the beautiful artwork at the stairs taking you up to the hostel. Rooms were tiny and crowded, but clean. Free breakfast idea ends with...

This review is for the location hostel in on Vasileostrovskaya island. It is well designed, the rooms are clean and there is free drinking water and even free coffee. And it is relatively cheap. Unfortunately there are serious disadvantages to this otherwise really nice hostel. It is a mess. The showers are always filthy: old shampoo, bandages and even blood...

Mainly restating the message of the previous review, the location of this hostel is this hostel's main (and only) assett. The hostel lacked a proper lounge and some other basic facilities such as lockers and an adequate amount of showers(which appeared to be frustatingly tricky to use). There was also a hostel cat, which was okay with us. However, given...

We spent 5 nights in Location Hostel at Admiral Teyskaya. The location is great, and that's where greatness ends. The staff was ignorant and do nothing but browse russian facebook (vk.com). The hostel had a lot of trouble with filthy toilets and general cleanliness. The pictures online promised a cozy dorm for 8, but we got an unfinished room that...

Perfect location!! 10 minutes' walk to the Hermitage and St Isaac's Cathedral and about 15 minutes away from the Kazan Cathedral and one of the central metro stations "Nevsky Prospect". The staff were friendly and helpful. At the time of our visit they had a cat in the hostel (maybe still do) and it was allowed to walk into the...

Before I review this hostel, I need to explain the differences between the USA hotels and European hostels. Typical Americans expect squeaky clean hotel rooms, lots of space and privacy. We get this in the USA, but we pay for it with expensive hotel rates. We can get the same in Europe, if we are willing to pay expensive European...

The location is great, can walk to the major spots and there are lots of restaurants around. It is a hostel (HI) so don't expect the uttermost comfort. The two-bed rooms are convenient; the one with the window and two beds is more expensive compared to the bunk bed and no-window one. I found the toilets and showers clean -...

I stayed at the Location Hostel for 5 nights in July. We arrived around 8am, exhausted from the hot train ride from Moscow, and the staff made sure that our twin room would be cleaned as soon as possible. The room turned out to be rather basic but served our needs. We had a window facing the inner court of...

I'm happy that I stayed here only for one night. First of all, the staff members are not very nice... Of course, I understand that it's not a hotel, however, they are still part of the hospitality industry and should be welcoming... I came there early (around 10:20) and was asked to wait till check-in time (which is perfectly fine)....

“There are single and double rooms available, but not advertised on airbnb. I asked for one by email and was able to book one for most of stay. The 10 bunk room is very tight, so it was a luxury to be in a two bed room by myself. Beds are comforatble, Ikea beds just like the Uno Hostel.”
