The Bell Tower is a big, older hotel just opposite the ancient and stunning Bell Tower. We paid for a room with a view and could not have been happier, especially at night when the Bell Tower is illuminated. Noise was not an issue. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast room was very crowded the first day,... More

The rooms were dirty, dated, and worst of all smelled of smoke. There are "no smoking" signs posted everywhere, including on the door to each room, but it was not enforced at all. People were smoking everywhere. Hallways, lobby, restaurant, hotel cafe, etc. We traveled with another couple and both of our "non-smoking" rooms reeked like smoke. Please note the... More

Great location.....hotel rooms clean and tidy. Only had breakfast in hotel and there was a good selection for western or local food. Room had everything you would need...a hairdryer too. Chinese traffic can be noisy but we were located to the back so it was a lot quieter. Reception was efficient. Would return if visiting Xi'an again. Hotel is located... More

This hotel is in a great location within the Xi'an walls. Lots of tourist sites within walking distance and easy access to mass transit. I had a room facing the Bell Tower, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I could hear noise from the traffic below but it wasn't enough to bother me. The Hotel is tired and a bit rundown but... More

Situated within the Xi'an city walls, the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Muslim Food Street, The great Xi'an Muslim Mosque, the City Wall and shopping outlets of all levels and food eateries. The reception appeared rough but it's just Xi'an style of communication. No offence. There are two lifts but one is... More

Hotels do not come more central than this one..It is about 50 yards from the bell Tower. I found it to be spotlessly clean with superb service and even if their language skills are not quite up to it the staff will do their best to help you. The room was comfortable with everything you expect in it. If you... More

Our room was on the inside meaning we had a view of a carpark instead of the bell tower (should probably keep that in mind while booking) although it meant we didn't have to deal with traffic noise (the bell tower is also a very busy intersection/roundabout). Location is excellent, metro station is accessbile from an underpass right outside the... More

The good part is the location as it is very close to bell tower and muslim quarter which is a must see to walk and eat. The hotel I can say its above average and even though is not expensive is not good at all. Its old, beds are not confortable, and overall not worth it. Breakfast also average but... More

We checked in on a Monday evening, carried our own bags to our rooms and were escorted to three rooms next to each other (6 travellers in total) - however, even though FLOOR 6 has non-smoking rooms, it's clear that people smoke heavily in the rooms. Although this is the case, NON SMOKING, there are ash trays outside all of... More

The staff were the most unfriendly and unhelpful I've ever experienced in over forty years of world travel. The receptionists glared at us as if they hated us. The doorman tried to force us to take his buddy's taxi to the Terracotta Warriors. He followed us around harassing us and then laughing at us when we insisted that we would... More
