Its a very well located hotel in Kobe and reasonably affordable. Rooms are compact and comfortable. The train station is at walking distance and the station has a 24/7 convenience store. The breakfast is affordable and good.

Wasn't the cheapest hotel in Kobe, nor was it the most expensive. It was a fair price and the room was decent, with toiletries provided. Probably the best deal in Kobe that night I stayed. Helpful staff, bar, restaurants and laundry room.

I stayed here for a night, it was alright. The bedroom and bathroom is very small and compact. The bathroom looks like plane bathroom but with bathtub. It was really cute! The toilet bowl is very fancy, tried it but the water was super hot! But probably it's because i didn't know how to use it. The toiletries, though, is... More

We had a very bad impression of the one night we chose to stay at this place. Even though we wanted a non-smoking room, reception staff was nice but told us we'd have to take a smoking room, as there was no other option available. The room smelled so bad that both my boyfriend and I felt disgusted - we're... More

Great for families as they offer triple sharing accommodations. Small lobby. Very good breakfast buffet selections. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Vendo machine available only in two floors. Walking distance from convenience stores.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and it was a refreshing stay after some hectic travelling. The hotel is at walking distance from the railway station and has nice cozy rooms and the one we got had two windows with good views in both directions. To reach the hotel from Shin Kobe station, take the train to Sannomiya... More

The rooms were not as clean as most Japanese hotels and the smell of smoking was quite strong. Other than that the staff were friendly and accommodating. If you are looking to use this as a base for other cities it is not very convenient. My friend and I stayed here because all of the hotels were booked in Kyoto... More

Caveat: My first trip to Japan, on business. We stayed in 3 different hotels in Tokyo, Kobe & Nagoya. Don't know what to expect of Japanese standards. It's the poorest of the 3 hotels we stayed in, and very pricey for what it is. Staff barely spoke English & not too friendly. Bed was a small double, very hard. Bathroom... More

The Kobe Luminous Hotel is a nice middle of the range hotel in Hyogo, one JR stop from Kobe. It's only a 4 minutes walk to the JR station so even if you are travelling with luggage, it's a short walk. Not much around the hotel but it's a good launching point to other places. The staff is friendly and... More
