If you are traveling to Kobe for the first time and wanting to see attractions around the city, this hotel is not for you. However, if you’re going more for a relaxed, away from urbanization vacation route, you won’t be disappointed at what Maiko Villa has to offer in terms of its views. The resort is a 30-minute train ride... More

The view of Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge (Akashi Channel Bridge) and Awaji Island from this hotel is excellent!! The morning buffet breakfast of the hotel is also great as there are many Japanese cuisine (Washoku) selections. Ikanago-no-Kugini, which is carameled sand lance (small fish), Curry with octopus, and Shirasu-boshi (cooked and dried white bait, or dried young sardines) are a must to... More

Be prepared you are a long way from Kobe City - half hour by train, so you are a little captive to the area. We never had dinner at the Hotel but there are some nice restaurants just a 5 minute taxi ride away, we found one particularly good Kobe beef restaurant (by hotel recommendation) just a 800Yen ride away.... Location: About 10 minutes walk from Maiko station. The hotel is outstanding, so I didn't lost the way. Room: I have stayed in Japanese style room. No problem was found in the room. Free Wifi was available. Large public bath locates in the basement floor. Restaurant: I ate only breakfast, but it was enough and tasty. View from the room:... More

Everything is fine. The rooms are big, definitely clean and neat, just that the toilet is a little too small. What that caught my attention is the view! It's was simply stunning. I stayed in the Western/Japanese room, on the 7th floor and I had a great view of the Maiko Bridge. It looked so perfect, just like those printed... More

This is a good hotel within walking distance of the JR station, which is great if you have the JR pass. very easy to get into Kobe (or for that matter, Osaka or Kyoto). The onsen was nice enough, and it was nice to walk along the harbor near Akashi Bridge. Better than a lot of other 'business hotels' I've... More

Although not the best hotel we stayed in while visiting Japan, it is so close to the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge that it works. The decor is a bit dated and really, really full of tourists from all around the world. The service is not fantastic although not poor, just nothing special. With the said the breakfast service is quite good,... More

Only 20 mn from sannomiya station with a bus shuttle from maiko . Easy access and good value for money around 5000 yen for a single room with an amazing view toward Akashi bridge. One of the longest bridges in the world .the hotel had an excellent Spanish restaurant bar in the top floor with I often enjoyed sangria and... More

Booked a corner room - bathtub has floor-to-ceiling panoramic view of the bay and the bridge, but it's not onsen bath. The bedroom itself is not big (based on the class of the hotel, the grand lobby, etc). Room interior is reasonable. I used the free shuttle bus service to/from JR station, and the nearby factory outlet mall at Tarumi.... More
