We spent two nights at the Amenity Hotel which is less than 25 mins from the main station on the bus. We all loved the concept of the capsule. We had private rooms which were clean and cleaned daily. There were laundry equipment outside our rooms which worked to our advantage. Small tv in the room. You may not need...

I stayed at the Amenity Hotel in March during my two week trip to Japan. The Hotel is a capsule hotel that also has some private rooms. I opted for the private room, which has a small bathroom, two capsule beds and a small lounge area. On arriving at the hotel I was allowed to check in slightly earlier than...

20 mins by no 100 bus from Kyoto station. Easy check in. Bed was comfy, fresh towels and toiletries provided. Temp in the room was perfect too. It is looking a bit dated and the shared shower room was a little uncomfortable for western guests as it offers no privacy. Overall it is good value for money and a great...

Our family of 4 occupied a tatami room with its own bathroom. It was alright for a one night stay - or even longer if one is busy sightseeing and needs only basic but clean lodging for the night. I recommend this place to travelers who don't require anything fancy for a one night stay. Room rate is very reasonable....

Stayed five nights in a traditional Japanese style room with attached toilet and shared bathroom. To start off, here's some plusses and minuses: + very good location near Kiyomizudera and Gion, with a bus stop right out the door + excellent service and helpful staff, despite the occasional language barrier + nice and clean room, cleaned daily + free wifi...

From Kyoto station, take the 100 or 206 beside the bus information center and get off at Kiyomizu-michi. Probably going to be crowded however as a lot of people take those busses to get to Kiyomizudera and the Gion district so you'll have to squeeze in. The hotel is right across the street. The location is very good with the...

Amenity hotel is a very basic, cheap and clean hotel. It's a good choice for budget travelers. I paid MYR 340 (4pax)for 1 night .The location is superb to access to Kiyomizura temple, only 5-10 minutes walking distance. Do try 'Smile Burgar' which is nearby the hotel.

Its a short bus ride from Kyoto station if you take Raku bus 100. The bus stop is two mins away. Building is pretty non descript. Check out is late which is inconvenient but you can dump your bags and head out. We stayed in the private room capsules. Beds were super comfy. Loos like all Jap hotels are small...

We took a room with two capsules, the room was clean enough but not the capsules.. Also, I noticed that they were preparing the duvets in the floor of the corridor which I found quite unhygenic... Although it was a great experience to sleep in a capsule, I was disappointed with the cleanliless of the hotel. Easy to miss the...

Fantastic location, just down the street from kiyomizu-dera. 10 min walk to gion. Lots of restaurants on the street. Clean facilities. Rather noisy (not only travelers, but the heater fan too). Shower takes the form of sento (Japanese communal bathing)
