We stayed here for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was large and the bathroom was lovely with a large wet room and very well stocked consumables, including face masks and men's after shave balms etc.

The staff were very attentive and the room was spotless.

The hotel is well placed with everything in walking distance. There's a 7/11, lovely temple and subway station all within a 5 minute walk maximum, and Nishiki Market is only 10-15 minutes walk.

We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was lovely with a western grandeur feel.
Rooms were large and we were lucky to be placed in a corner room with lovely views in 2 directions.
The location we found to be very good- able to walk a lot of places and a cheap taxi fare to others. There was many Lawsons or 7/11 within 2 mins walk as well.
There was several options for breakfast including a western buffet or traditional Japanese.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again. Many thanks.

The rooms a spacious and the bathrooms are a generous size. Separate walk in shower and bathtub. The beds were comfortable is what you’re after when spending a hot day exploring Kyoto.

It is a good location. Nishiki Market is within walking distance as are some great great shopping and dining spots.

There are a couple of dining options including 2 options for breakfast. Unfortunately we were part of a tour and so didn’t have time to try the Japanese restaurant for its Japanese breakfast. The alternative is a buffet breakfast which serves more western items but the selection feels more all day dining… an omelette station and cereals sit alongside pizza and pastas. The Amber Court restaurant in the lobby gets full very quickly and so both days we were told to go to one of the banquet rooms where the same buffet was on offer but if you’re more than 2 people, only shared tables are available.

Throughout the hotel, the staff are diligent and friendly.

We had a decent sized room with a smallish bath…bathtub and shower area were as large as the rest of the bathroom. More than one person cannot be in bathroom at once. Counter area of bath is small but there is a small shelf behind the toilet. The room has 2 wood backed chairs and a desk chair and desk. Though the hotel is well maintained with fresh paint and wallpaper, the furnishings and electronics are 90s style. Small TV, not many drawers for clothes, only one plug at bedside and 2 on desk. It is well located in central Kyoto. The Breakfast buffet is good. I would prefer a more up to date hotel.

We tried their ala carte Western breakfast, ordering pancakes, french toast and a fruit plate. The latter two items were excellent as was the service, but the pancakes were inedible. They were at least a half inch thick with a diameter of about 3 inches and DENSE. One would expect souffle-like texture; these had the texture of well-done beef. Don’t order the pancakes!

Easy walk to metro and for buses.
Nice hotel, smart lobby area.
Restaurant ok but expensive. Breakfast was very limited for a vegetarian diet - pastries about it. Evening meal did at least have two V options which was appreciated and uncommon as we learnt as out trip went on.
Would have scored 5 but having checked out in the morning and returned for our bags and a rest in the lobby, we couldnt even get a cup of coffee as they would only serve it in the restaurant which was full.
Do visit the little temple nearby, Bokkyu.

Loved the location, the service and the staff. Great neighborhood. Easy and convenient. Spacious rooms and the bathroom! So much space. Separate tub and shower. The property may not be categorized as "luxury" but staying here has been such a pleasant experience, I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again on my next trip.

Service was perfect specially the front desk, concierge and housekeeping.
Concierge arranged private taxi for transfer to our hotel in Osaka.
Buffet Breakfast on the first floor and The Japanese set breakfast on the second floor were perfect.
Bukkoji temple is just a few meters from the hotel. We chance upon a few sakura trees budding and blooming.
Right now, the weeping cheery trees may be in full bloom.

This hotel suprised me. I did not expect much before checking in but I was impressed beyond words of this hotel.
Check in was a breeze and concierge service was perfect.
We arrived early from a 6 hr flight from Incheon and front desk took care of our bags.
Our room was well maintained and we had a good view of Kyoto Tower.
Breakfast were perfect at the ground floor and second floor.
We tried Japanese breakfast on the second floor and we like it.
Location is a bit of a walk to Kyoto station but it is doable.
We love exploring the neighboorhood specially Bukoji temple and we had a wonderful and unforgettable dessert at a nearby cafe.

I have a special mention for Ms Swaka Takada a very helpful lady in front office and a very good communication skills. She has been outstanding in the hotel. Food needs a bit of an improvement with choices as it has very little choice. Apart from this most service are above average and cleanliness is maintained well.
