I’ll keep this short and simple - I booked 7nights here.

Good location just a short walk from the main station. Staff was great and could speak English and told us which places to visit. Rooms were clean, you will be sleeping on a futon and have a Japanese style bathroom. Thanks for a great stay.
My wife booked this hotel, so I was surprised to find myself in an approximately 8 ft by 10 ft room with only tatami mats and a couple of single size futons. And the bathroom was the size of what you'd find on a plane...More
Lovely little guest house 5 minutes from Kyoto station. Friendly and helpful young Taiwanese staff who spoke good English. Rooms are Japanese style - no beds only futons and are very small but this is the norm in Japan. Bar and breakfast available. Recommended.
This is all you need, fantastic little stay and close to everything. Free hire of bycycles was fantastic and easy to tour Kyoto. Very good english speaking staff. Very clean and comfortable room. A little bit noisy from outside noise however thats japan walls, stick...More

Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the
mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
