Amazing work from the staff at all levels of need... most personable Hyatt my wife and I know of. The Concierge(s) were full of great advice tailored to our particular interest and beyond ! The room which overlooked in part a garden and a temple was quiet ,large and tastefully designed with Japanese flair. We enjoyed breakfast at the Lobby... More

We stayed five days at the hotel. We wanted to see as much of Kyoto as possible. The concierge people gave great recommendations for sites, restaurants and transportation. The service staff were there to help in any way possible. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel.

The concierge at the hotel was extremely helpful in coordinating all my transfer and car services. Opt for the private car for sightseeing. The hotel room is simple, efficient, and is beginning to show signs of age.

We spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. Had a room on the ground floor with a view of a Japanese garden. The room was spacious with a big closet ( wish we had one like it in Tokyo). The location is a bit off track, in my opinion, but it gives a sense of tranquility.

This beautifully designed establishment is at first glance a delightful refuge for the traveller to Kyoto. But, as we found during a four-night stay, there are problems to be addressed (apart from the walking distance to the city centre, which is just too far): no turn-down in the early evening "unless requested"; insufficient drawers for clothes in the room; when... Stayed for two nights, while visiting Kyoto. The location is good, about a 30 minute walk from the "action" and a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station. I am under the impression that, although a Diamond Gold Passport member, I did not get an upgraded room. Of course that's not a given, it's "subject to availability". Our room... More

I really love this hotel. When I was working & living in Tokyo, I stayed here alone or with my ex-husband several times. Since the last stay, I suppose 5+ yrs has passed already. Level of their service didn't change much. It's high still. Receptionist offered us the late checkout, they delivered my favorite 2 newspapers even though I didn't... More
