What I like the most about this hotel is the location. The JR train station, Yamashina station is just a few steps from the hotel making it very convenient if you are travelling on the train from Osaka. I took the JR train from Osaka Station direct to Yamashina Station and leave my luggage at the hotel. Then we took...

Totally disgusted with this place right now! Please read the review from October 2016! This review is to be believed! In their bar/restaurant right now and cockroaches crawled across our table and we couldn't catch them! It's January and pretty unusual to see these things in winter here. I'm actually pretty used to dealing with the cockroach possibility in places...

We visited during peak season and booked this hotel a little outside of the main section of Kyoto because of the pricing and the bath house. If you are planning a day trip to Nara and need a less expensive alternative, this is a pretty good option. Three adults were sharing one room, so it was a bit cramped but...

What I love about this hotel is its room Size! It's huge For Japan's standart. And it's location just 1mnts walk to kyoto's subway and JR. My room's view is train station, but I don't mind about it since I've spent almost entire day exploring Kyoto. Many review said that it's a business hotel, but it's does not matter for...

1st of all, locating the hotel is really easy. Located right opposite to Yamashina station. Hotel room is clean and spacious compared to the rest of my stay in Japan. It is just a station away from Kyoto station, which is the main station that connects you to the rest of the tourist attractions. Lots of restaurants & shops around...

Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighbourhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
