Cons: 1. No direct JR rail station link to the nearest beach station. If you only have a JR Pass you'll need to switch trains and pay additional to get to the nearest station. Nearest station is about 10 minutes walk - not the easiest if you have a full luggage to lug around. But still quite do-able actually. 2.... More

They have everything here. Just bring yourself to Osaka. Large bathroom and if you feel shy, you can request private shower room keys from reception. If you carry big luggage, you may ask them to keep for you at their counter charged at 200¥ for 24 hours. Vending machine and game corner available too. In case you forget to bring... More

The hotel was really fun and different to say in coming from the UK. The whole capsule concept was a lot nicer than I expected and was very comfortable. The spa was nice and there were lots of toiletries provided. For the amount you pay it is very good value and a fun experience - would like to do it... More

My friend and I booked 2 capsules to stay while in the Osaka area. We arrived early and they took our luggage for a charge of 200yen per luggage. I had a medium suitcase and a gym bag. That was counted as 1 item. You have to take off your shoes when you enter and place it into a locker.... More

This capsule hotel reeks of... Quality. For only ¥2900 per night (£20) you basically get to stay in a spa hotel. It's extremely clean and all the details are well thought through. This hotel has changed my life for the better. Male/ female capsules and bathing facilities are unfortunately on separate floors :( That is the only drawback as there... More

A capsule isn’t exactly cheap, but a good bargain for a lone traveler. It’s is more spacey than a sleeper on a train and high enough to at least sit upright. It closes with a bamboo curtain. Literally everything you may need is provided, from the bedding and the yakuta (sleeping kimono) to toothbrushes, body lotions, hair dryers, razors, free... More

This was my first and probably last capsule stay. It was very authentic with very few Westerners. It was a good experience, but I'm not really down with the capsule. This place was perfectly fine...it was a good location and clean. There is a lot of effort involved in the capsule experience...lots of lockers, keys, cards and slips of paper... More

Asahi Plaza Capsule Hotel provides excellent service! It was my first time in a capsule hotel and I was a bit unsure of what to expect but was very happy with our stay here. We arrived in the morning (before check in) but were allowed to keep our luggage at reception for just 200yen (~$2) for 24 hours. This was... More

We spent one night here and it was too much. The front desk staff was mildly helpful and the internet was decent, but the positives stop there. The entire facility was very dusty, including inside of the capsule. The hotel is in bad need of renovation. Toiletries were provided but the bath facilities were limited, particularly the women's area. The... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights as we both wanted to try the capsule experience. Everything is provided....towels, pajamas, toiletries...you really do not need anything. Vending machines aplenty supply drinks through to ice cream and the restaurant has cheap food available too. Tip: Try to bring small enough suitcase to fit in the locker as it makes it... More

“A pair of earplug is necessary if you're sensitive to noise. A large backpack is a better choice than a luggage case, and definitely bring as little as you can. The area isn't the best for solo female traveler (my taxi driver told me the area is 'very dangerous,' but I spent 2 days around the area and nothing bad happened really.)”
