Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Omg I loved liber hotel!!!!! Such a big hotel room for Japan. RIGHTTTTT across the road from a train station that’ll take you to Osaka. Staff were lovely, helped with baggage transfer to my hotel in Kyoto. Close to 7-11 and other convenience stores in Japan. You also have a great view of super Mario land and Hogwarts through the elevator hehehe. Beautiful, beautiful hotel. Will recommend everytime.

We are family of 4 staying at Liber Hotel for 2 nights. Universal Studio is within walking distance of the hotel. 7-11 and Lawson are nearby. Breakfast buffet has a huge variety and good quality. Worth mention the sushi rice bowl and ham cheese salad are must try. Nice public bath.

This was our second time starting at the hotel. The first time was in October 2021. The stay was great and we were in a room facing the park. This time around we were in a room facing the bridge. The rooms were good both the times. The proximity to the park is fairly ok if you don't mind a ten minute walk to the park. During our previous stay we availed breakfast and the restaurant was catering to vegans and helped provide something. Unfortunately this time around the restaurant refused to cater breakfast for vegans and it was unfortunate. But overall this place is good just away from the bustling crowd.

Great location if you are not wanting to stay on property at Universal studios. Only a 10 minute walk to the park/City Walk. Or the train station is directly opposite the hotel and Universal is one stop away for ¥170 one way. Approx $1.70 Australian at the time. Easy to buy tickets from the ticket machine takes notes or coins or if in Japan for a while can use the JR pass if already purchased. Also great to get to other parts of Osaka with ease. There is no hotel shuttle to the park. Approx 30 minutes to Osaka. Hotel: Check in was quick Modern & very clean Rooms very clean & modern (Single beds in rooms) No universal power points and two pronged power adaptors are needed. 2x USB points present Some toiletries provided Rooms are quiet Housekeeping offers a choice of room service 2x water bottles provided per day Air con and dehumidifier in room. Cafe & Restaurant on site Brickside is great for a drink or meal overlooking the water and bridge. This is also where the breakfast buffet is. Decent choice of food at breakfast. Relaxation lounge has massage chairs for $3 for 15 minutes Spa looked good although we didn’t use it. Ferry to the aquarium is a 10 minute walk away it’s free and a short 5 minute trip over and 5 minute walk to the aquarium. Cons: No room service Apart from City Walk restaurants there is little around this hotel. Just a 7-11 & a Lawsons convenience store about a 5 minute walk away. We stayed on the 13th floor with two rooms overlooking the water and bridge was nice. These were not interconnected but we had all adults with us so was fine. In all a lovely hotel with very attentive and friendly staff and we would stay there again.

Huge rooms for Japan (US-sized), very convenient to get to the park and city walk (one metro stop and the metro is literally right outside the hotel), very friendly staff and a cool spa area. Only thing is the restaurants in house are veryyyy expensive so not good for a casual meal.

Room was much specious than most Japan hotel. We paid extra for theme room & got snoppy room. Appreciate that hotel kindly provided bed railing for my 3yo. We didn’t have breakfast at hotel as we set off early in the morn for USJ but there are not much food options other than hotel cafe or lawson/ 7-11 outside the hotel. USJ & Universal City is just 1 station away. So one can have your meal there as well. The shower area & toilet area are separated which is useful for our family, The Onsen at level 3 is much appreciate after a tiring trip to USJ other than an unhappy experience on our last day. The information for Onsen stated “no entry for kids below 3”. But when i brought my 3yo down to onsen with me, she was been rejected by a lady staff even after explaining my girl’s age and it been off peak hour in the morning. This experience created disappointment to my girl & myself for an otherwise good stay here.

If you intend to go Universal Studios Japan, this hotel may not be the strategic one, but it is just opposite Sakurajima station ; which is one stop away from Universal City. Wonderful stays - stayed for 3 nights ; being assigned to level 10 out of 14. Room is big ; spacious and comfortable; allowed Check in even by 11am ; room housekeeping is awesome 👏 Massage at Level 3 was damn nice! Professional service at an affordable prices. Buffet over level 3 is great too with a great view over Tempozan Ferris wheel, especially it’s night view! Staff is very friendly; nearby 7-11 is a life saver. The only picky part I can think off probably will be there is not other food other than Universal walk. There rest is just awesome!

positive : - the staff was always friendly and helpful - the rooms are large and clean - you can easy walk to universals studios - there's a supermarket nearby - there' s a universal shop in the hotel - the take away option in the café are great - the breakfast buffet have everything you need negativ : - the hotel price are a bit high ( like all park hotels) - there' s no "cheap" option for taking dinner, the café and the restaurant serving menus with a high price. A middle range restaurant for families could be great

The best hotel experience I ever have in Japan. I checked in earlier and the luggage delivered to my room before I returned after the check in time. The room is spacious and view over the bridge at night is stunning

The hotel has an amazing view to the park and a great view to Osaka bay on the other side. It has a very nice SPA, which you can use for free if you're staying in the hotel. The room is quite spacious too. I stayed here for my birthday and they wrote a special card for me in the room. I was very happy with it. I would go back here without a doubt next time I stay in Osaka.
