We stayed at Hotel Universal Port this past weekend, and I have absolutely no complaints. The staff was wonderful. They even have quite a few on staff who speak English. The rooms were quite large compared to other Japanese hotels we have stayed in. They also had free internet. You can even borrow the LAN cable from them for free....

The hotel is well set-up, with 15 floors overlooking either the bay or Universal Studios Osaka. Our room was facing Universal on the 12th Floor. It was a large room and came with the usual amenities which were refilled daily. Shower and bathroom were roomy. Only thing was that we had a non-smoking room, but you could still smell remnants...

Highly recommend this hotel for it's location, value, service and cleanliness (not necessarily in that particular order!)

Nice hotel away from the busy osaka central yet convenient enough to reach major attractions as it is near a train station on the Osaka loop line. Universal studio is just across the road, so getting there and back is a breeze. Amenities are great as they provide you humidifier in dry winter conditions when you request from them and...

We arrived in Osaka after spending a few days in Tokyo and we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was so big compared to the tiny hotel we stayed in at Tokyo. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and had a great size bath. The hotel had about four restaurants from memory and a...

Won a 3-night stay at this lovely hotel and I must say it was worth buying air tickets and flying to Osaka. The hotel is located right next to the Universal Studios Japan (although there is another hotel nearer, it is quieter and less 'messy') and the room you book would either be a sea/river facing or USJ facing. Upon...

We only stayed for one night. Had a quad room (2 adults, 2 kids) and it was a great size and was set up awesomely for kids (small step in bathroom so they could reach the sink, fish sponges etc etc). Breakfast was great. The kids play room was also awesome. Great luggage holding (for when you arrive and free...

The Hotel Universal Port is by far and away the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I have travelled all over the world and this one blew me away. The service is nothing but friendly, helpful and very professional. They rooms are MASSIVE - even big by Western standards. The toilets were the highlight of the rooms - the...

Stayed with family for 2 nights after finding a good deal in a Japanese travel site. Despite the price, we got two stylish, large rooms (especially considering the common size of Japanese hotel room) with good view to the park. The best part, of course, is its proximity to the USJ park. It's not the closest hotel to the entrance,...

The Hotel Universal Port is an official hotel of the Universal Studios Japan and is right across the street from the park. From time to time they run specials in conjunction with the park, though it's usually through the Japanese portal of the website which I could not access here in the US. There are a few other hotels that...
