As one of us had a day-long meeting at the city centre, we decided to book a room for an overnight stay with the kids. We chose Hotel Istana mainly for the food, and it didn't disappoint! We ordered room service for dinner and breakfast in the morning was excellent. The nasi lemak and chicken rendang was wonderful. It was...

At the multi-cultural breakfast buffet, there are many stations and options to choose from. My favorite station was the Roti station. After trying the soft bread with curry and ordering the dish for other family members so they tasted the dish, the chef Anwar came to our table and asked if he could make a special sweet Roti bread with...

This hotel is well located near Jalan Alor (cafe style street food) and Changkat Bukit Bintang (bar street), it's also really close to Bukit Bintang for shopping and the MRT. Hotel room was spacious, with a large bed, desk, wardrobe and large ensuite. We didn't try the food or pool due to our short trip but the hotel lobby and...

Spacious rooms, conveniently located in the middle of Bukit Bintang. Friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast has decent range of foods. My only suggestion would be to provide bathrobes in the rooms.

The center of Kuala Lumpur begings to be so crowded with high rises that they overshadow each other. Hotel Istana has the advantage of an own lot and good views to all directions, and it has managed to keep the lush garden a quiet oasis in the middle of all construction.
