Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hello! is your Homie Julio from Spain! Homie KL is definitely the coolest and cozy hostel in KL. We stayed 3 nights at the Comfort Triple Bedroom room and it was heaven. The place has an amazing lunch area to enjoy coffee and lunch and more shared areas where you can watch movies as it was your living room! The Manager Sahreen did help us a lot going during our stay. 100% Recommended.

This is the WORST HOSTEL I have ever stayed at. The owner is incredibly disrespectful and badly insulted me because I took a pillow from the sofa and put it on a chair. Absolutely ridiculous. I asked for my money back but he kept it. Due to the nightclub next door it’s so NOISY at night that you can’t even sleep with earplugs. Only COLD showers. Basic stuff like toilet paper was always missing. An absolutely HORRIBLE place. No miracle that I was the only guest when other hostels were fully booked. These people don’t care about you at all. They just want your money!

WORST PLACE IN KL - DO NOT STAY THERE!!!

I don't agree with the other reviews saying worst place. I totally disagree. I have had a wicked time staying here it just needs more people to come so it gets busier. The staff have been very helpful in helping us out on where to go and what do. The place is clean, free breakfast included which is good. The beds aren't the best but will do.

You will get everything you want here. No doubt at all. Simple breakfast but 5 star ingredients. The bathroom and the toilet very clean. Good air cond. You can watch movies etc at the movie section. The staff very friendly and helpful. The bed can beat the 5 star hotel in KL. Affordable price, strategic near to public transport like train. Nearby shops and places for chill out. Access to internet. They also have giant poster so informative about public transports around KL. Just go and refer that poster. So helpful and brilliant idea to have that. All here. Nothing to be worried abou.

We travelled all around malaysia, felt happy to end in a clean and modern place. Very close to Bukit bintang, (5 ringgit uber)
Staff very nice, even sent postcards for us for free! Breakfast is great. Comfortable beds in our triple bedroom. Even better than other hotels more expensive.

I really enjoyed my time at homie kl. it really does give off the "home felt" vibe but obviously still being a hostel. The cleaning staff were excellent and friendly as well and even leant me a power adapted to charge my phone so I didn't have to sit out at the computer and charge my phone.
I was travelling alone and it was fairly quiet when I stayed but I think that it came down to luck.
One thing I will say when I arrived off the metro at 9:30 at night my myself I thought the walk to the hostel seemed a bit uncomfortable but after 3 nights there I realised I was just over reacting as it is fine

I was really worried about travelling to KL as a female solo traveller as I heard it was unsafe. Arriving at this hostel I was greeted by so many friendly faces. Invited straight into the kitchen for a drink, where people were chatting even though it was quite late. But not loud enough to hear them from the rooms.

I loved this hostel because the people who run it are so lovely, funny and so welcoming. The hostel itself is so clean and the interior is so nice. Also, when you've been travelling for a while you learn to appreciate a hostel that has hot water and free water!

The best thing is I was only there for a night and I can say this was my favourite hostel of my two month trip. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this hostel. I'll definitely be visiting again if I travel to KL.

Thanks for a great stay!

A very big thank to Aki and his colleagues for our wonderful staying in Kuala Lumpur. We were group of 7 poeple and booked a dorm for 2 nights . Hostel is very clean , tidy and well designed with free Wifi, nice breakfast . All staffs are so friendly and helful since we had only 1 day in KL so they helped us to plan a short trip, how and where to go just to make sure we would not get lost in KL and should not miss any destination in KL . This hostel have a nice location which is near to Pudu metro station. But I would like to recommend you call a CRAB car for long distance to reach everywhere in city which is cost you very cheap since KL MRT transportation quite complicated and too many contrustions under processing.
