I never regret staying here because this hotel is very near the St. Luke Extension Clinic where I had my medical exam .My father and I stayed here for 3 days .The price was good. Php 1,699 pesos a day so for 3 days my fiancé paid online for a total of Php 5,097 . I really like the location of this hotel because at the side of it there's a Mini Stop grocery which is open for 24 hrs and Puregold so whenever we feel hungry we could just easily go down and buy food. Staffs were polite and nice to us. Our room was clean. Nice bathroom too.
Suggestions:
Add more lights to the room.
Place artificial flowers on the table in the room to add decoration, beauty and color.

The public areas of the Soriente are spartan but the rooms are surprisingly large and not so spartan. The Soriente does not have the run-down feel of most Manila hotels in this price range. We really like the location, not far from UN Avenue, the huge Robinson's mall, U.S. Embassy, Rizal Park and the Bay Walk. For Ermita, Bocobo Street is fairly quiet. Get a room on the third or fourth floor, in the back. There are lots of dining options nearby, all the fast food chains on UN Avenue. We especially like the Shawarma Snack Center on 485 Salas St. The Casa Bocobo hotel, a few steps away, on U.N. Avenue serves a very nice breakfast.

Warning !
I have been staying in this hotel many times. And have have been seeing a few cockroaches, but this time was terrible, It was just crawling on the floor and on furnitures, hundreds of them, and I even had 10 of them with me home in my suitcase, so now I still hunting them in my own bathroom.
There is other hotel for the same money in the area, but if you dont mind them stay.

The online booking is inaccurate. I have paid the price based on what is stated online. The booking includes 2 adults and 2 children (ages 9 and 11). The receptionists said that they cannot allow m family to check out because they have to pay additional 400 pesos per day for the children because they are more than 7yrs old. This is in contrast to the website's definition of children ages 2-11. And they need cash to pay the surcharge.

I had the worst treatment from a front desk receptionist with Hotel Soriente. My family has always book here whenever we are around Manila as it is close to the areas we need to visit. But on November 18, 2017 I arrived super early at about 6am and I waited in the lobby area. At first I talked to the chinese looking receptionist named Charmaine asking if there is availability and what could be the possible earliest check in time. I was still waiting for my Dad and sister so I planned just to wait in the lobby instead of paying half the amount of the room rate for early check in.

After few minutes the guard turned on the airconditioned and I was feeling very cold as its 6am in the morning. I was the only guest by the lobby so I ask the front desk politely if I could turn it off because I don't have jacket and obviously I looked very cold, her only answer is a cold "NO". I'm surprise as I thought they can save electricity by doing that but since its NO i just sitted and wait because my family arrives in about one hour.

After couple of minutes not even 10 mins. The receptionist called my attention and said I can't sleep on the couch. I didn't answer coz I was only sitting still and was on my phone and there's no way I would lie down on the couch as I only got there for 10 mins. and then once again she called my attention on an arrogant tone. I answered slightly with a tone on my voice that I am not sleeping.

After couple of minutes she went out and she seemed like she talked to the security guard when she came back after 5 mins she asked if I am going to make a reservation. I answered I don't know yet because I want to decide once my family arrives and by her treatment it is making me feel if its comfortable to stay there. But since I am low battery and very tired I just planned to sit there because its the original plan where we will stay.

But after this answer she told me I can't stay in the lobby area or rather "bawal ang tambay sa lobby". This has really made me mad because obviously she is kicking me out and this is not the right way to treat a guest or anyone waiting for about 20 mins. in the lobby area to make a decision whether to get a room or not.

I felt very discriminated because I probably doesn't look very presentable at that time coz I came from a 12 hour trip didnt have a good sleep and look very wasted. All I wanted was to sit down on the lobby area and wait patiently for my family to arrive and rest. I ended up just leaving and staying next door on Mini Stop and we have to look around for the last minute where to stay.

Lesson is "ALWAYS LOOK PRESENTABLE SO YOU CAN GET THE PROPER TREATMENT FROM A FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST" if not then you get a low profile look and be discriminated that you are a "TAMBAY"

To the Management of HOTEL SORIENTE:

In my entire life this is the only moment I became very mad with a hotel receptionist please review your code of conduct with your employees and I hope no one else gets this treatment.

Best Regards,

Your Old Customer

Was here January 21-24 for my US immigrant medical exam. It is VERY, VERY near SLEC. Just a few steps away. So if your purpose of staying here is to get your medical exam, THIS is the best place for you.

It's no fancy hotel but it is comfortable and good enough to have a good night's sleep and be your home for a few days.

Lots of food vendors downstairs. Has Mini Stop at the building's ground floor. And the stores around the area does not close at all.

Will definitely stay here again.

If you're not the type to go for fancy hotels, Hotel Soriente would be just fine. I stayed here last Wednesday as I had to go through my medical at St. Luke's and I thought I made a good decision to have booked for the night.

The room is spacious (I was alone, rooms are for two), with basic amenities like tv, aircon, and a hot shower. It has a really old feel to it, not in a Spanish era-old kind of way, but an ordinary old house. There's no breakfast but that can easily be fixed by eating out. There's a restaurant nearby called Kilometer One which serves inexpensive good food so eating wasn't a problem at all. St. Luke's is about five minutes walk from the hotel, and Robinson's Place, a little over 10.

Soriente's proximity to the hospital is what's best about it.

As I need to do some medical exam at St. Luke's Extension Clinic, this hotel is just perfect. Their standard room is quite spacious for two. Nice, friendly staff. There's a mini-stop franchise right next to it so you can just grab something to eat anytime. And most of all, just a few steps away from SLEC, Robinson's Mall and US Embassy.

I was so glad to find this hotel. It was flooded in the hotel that we were supposed to have checked in. The taxi driver directed us to this nice hotel. I never regret staying in this hotel, that we came back on two more occasions. I would come back again. Worth the money, nice and helpful staffs. A real find.
